i always listen his song every night before i'm sleep, i feel like a thousands star come to me and make a little conversation and give me a smile after.
As amazing as Michael Franks' voice is, the musical accompaniment is other worldly, simply sublime....alto and tenor sax, superb percussion with a tricky rhythm change during the second movement, luxurious piano, guitar.....like I stated, simply SUBLIME! its the soft voice, the jazzical beat, instruments' complimenatry combination, the melody, the lyrics, the rhymes, etc. can you find anybody who has the same style of music? none i suppose. the other songs are the same way entertaining and soothing. even the fast ones.
I have most of he's CD'S and follow him the last 25 years and when ever I listen to he's music its timeless and the quality of the musician is excellent . He seems to attract the best musician with ease and I never get tired to listen to he's music .

i wish he will do a concert or a tour and perform in Freiburg, here in Germany, or in Manila when i am in Philippines. I like his songs - melody, lyrics, everything, and his distinctive voice...

I love this song!!! This is my 2nd favorite Michael Franks Song, I like the Album version better unfortunately I didnt like the change over to the tempo and Michael's Voice was a little off but I still love it...
I always noticed how he would stand on the stage and watch the other musicians when he wasn't singing. He always got great players except I was sort of disappointed the time I saw him with acoustic bass. I only like my acoustic basses in the symphony.
I agree with you on Craposo not knowing what good music is, But on the Defense of Rap music... I listen to it, and about 10% of my music collection is rap 40% is Hip Hop, 15% Jazz, 20% Ecelptic mix and the last 15% is Rock. So it's just about safe to say I listen to just about everything, All I can say about his taste in music is what ever it is that he is looking for he WILL NOT FIND IT IN MICHAEL FRANKS style or musical gender!!!
