Back in early March, when it was quite cold not only outside the window, but also in the shower, the melody of Michael Hedges' play "The Naked Stalk" was constantly playing in my head. I've always wanted to transcribe it for guitar, and those days, between the constant sirens, I still did it. I played it for the first time on a charity stream in early April. This week finally played it at the live concert in stuttgart of our tour "peace for Ukraine". There is some hidden energy in this performance for me. It's like a storm of emotions that has to be contained, humility, confidence in the right path that everything takes its turn, even when sometimes it's too hard to accept. To say there is hope and light in this play is an understatement. When translating the name into Ukrainian it was difficult to pick the appropriate variation of words. Stopped at "Naked Pagín", or "Naked Stem" (If you have thoughts with symbolic and beautiful translation, then please write in the comments).
