@jett woodward yea he did start wearing the shades allll the time from like 1984-87.. he has said before he wears them because he doesn't want people to see the sadness in his soul. A lot of people think he was so sad at the time because of the abuse he endured as a child but I also wonder if it was because in 1984 he was diagnosed with vitiligo and even though it didn't start showing until late 80's, can you imagine what that would do to your self esteem? I always thought maybe that's why he wore the shades, because he was so depressed over getting diagnosed with that, or atleast a little part of why he wore them.

BEN is a gorgeous ballad. Barry is just a sorry ass singer with very limited talent--- with his monotone, 1 octave singin' azz.
