I remember all those years ago when I first watched this back in Disney Land. Now that was something. Looking at it now.. It may be funny to watch but I'm just glad they brought it back. :)
did you know that Disneyland is bringing back Captain EO in 3D im ssssoooo excited. I have this version but I cant seem to find the 3D version cause I even have some 3D glasses and not the crappy red and Blue ones I actualy have the ones from when I last saw Captain EO in the 90's as a kid lol
I don't know why, but I just love the way that Michael says " A bunch of losers." It just sounds so funny that someone as nicely mannered as Michael would say a phrase like that in a video viewed to the World. You only usually hear him talklike this in his home movies. Also, I like the phrase, just because it's funny :)
I'm surprised Disney hasn't restored and released this in HD considering how hot Michael anything has been since his death. Heard they have shown it at Disneyland, but I want a copy dammit.
this was his REAL voice, not the soft voice he used only for interviews, but in home videos and in his last years(tear) he had a nice deep voice. love him!!!1

How can I be being mean to him? I had nothing but concern and pity. He was a GREAT LOOKING GUY! It was a pain to watch him destroy his body. The man was filled with pain and rage over something. I have compassion. But don't insult people's intelligence by saying he had a nose job and that's it. His lips and jaw were stretched and widened. His nose was worked on so many times the skin deteriorated. One surgeon used part of Michael's ear. His countless surgeries are fact.

If you remember him well that's all that matters. Don't force other people to respect him as well. As for record companies, they were like everyone else. They began to distance themselves from him because he was turning himself into a freak. And molesting children doesn't really help matters either.
It's cool, if you love Michael that's fine. He the best singer/dancer in my opinion. I know he didn't look the same after his surgery's ); but I think he looked his best in the 80's. I just wish he would have loved himself more instead of thinking he was ugly );..
I came here because I HAVE just seen it at Disney and it is awful. The only remotely "3d" part was the asteroid at the beginning. After that you barely notice a thing and the less said about the movie filled with what look like reject models from Return of the Jedi the better.
Managed to watch the grand re-opening of this attraction at Disneyland and DAMN the auditorium was packed! It was worth it. Compared to the other attraction "Honey, I Shrunk the Audience," the attendance for EO was twice as huge than what the former could do.
Let's be honest, Michael ruined his own career by ruining his perfectly attractive face. I can never comprehend what compels people to destroy their body when it looks absolutely wonderful! Name me one person that watched Michael as a kid and thought he needed any kind of surgery.
MIchael was also a great actor. Our Michael was complete in everything he did in his life. as a human being and as a star. Michael fans we'll love you forever.
I remember going on this before star tours ever existed when I was a little kid. Years later when i was in college no one believed me when told them about Captain Eo at disney land. They only remembered star tours. I FUCKING WIN BITCHES.

Just visited Disneyland Paris, and i'm only 17 and realised that they were showing Captain EO, and I had to see it, because i'm a massive Michael Jackson fan. I wasn't sure what to expected, but it was brilliant!!!
I saw this last Saturday as Disneyland, and it was such a treat! The whole crowd was cheering when Micheal Jackson came up they wouldn't quite down until they crashed they were so happy to watch him back on the big screen!
the movie is very boring but the reason i dont mind watching it every day is because it has michaewl jackson and he is so hot just look at him i love you mike and you are totally innocent rest in peace amen

they shoud make it into a 4D ride experience to upgrade it a little bit....dont see how they wouldnt be able to....This way it will be more enjoyable and allot more up to date so theres more of a reason to bring it back lol

Thank you for saving me hundreds of dollars from wasting a trip to Disneyland. This is truly horrible, and Lucas should be as ashamed of this as he is of the Star Wars Christmas Special.

I think you people are forgetting he DOES have a bit of an acting ability, if at least an experience. He was in the movie The Wiz, and he did have the show "The Jacksons Variety Show" with the Jackson 5 in 1977. (They only had 12 episodes because Michael ended it; he wanted people to see him as a serious singer, he also said its not good if the public sees you too much; which was true, because shortly after that, their album sales went down.) But I believe if he really wanted to do it, he could.

@ExplorerDS6789 this was a very popular attraction, I was in FLL and went to see the movie and it was a LONNGGGG wait. One thing that did not take off were the "products" sold from the movies. From what I remember they removed the "attraction" for Lucas/Star wars experience, and then Honey I shrunk the audience, but I could be wrong. They distanced themselves from MJ after the child abuse claims arose. Plus it was in 3 D!!
@ChristineNguyenZone Yes, it's NOT a ride. It's a show. It's an attraction. Now in the original run, there were in-theater effects such as lasers, etc., then in 1997 when it was replaced by Honey I Shrunk the Audience, hydraulics were installed beneath the floor to give the audience the feel of being shrunk down and carried. With EO back in 2010, they utilized the left over hydraulics for some NEW in-theater effects. And there you have it!

It wasn't just that it featured a celebrity, it was directed by Francis Ford Coppola and produced by George Lucas. Certainly two of the biggest and most respected names in film at the time and now. It was also the first 3D film of its kind (the visual technology and in-theater effects), without it there wouldn't have been all those knock off 3D films at Sea World and lesser amusement parks. You must have known this, right?
I went on Wednesday so I Just Walk in to the pre- Show. Were the lines were very short not long at all. Wednesday or Thursday is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to avoid the long excrusating long lines. SATURDAY and FRIDAY are truely not recommended. The lines are a big pain to be in you hear shouting people , screaming toddlers and you feel crowded. Go if you have time either on Sunday ,Monday ,Tuesday ,Wednesday and Thursday it was a blast.
