Directed by Bob Giraldi, the music video for "Say Say Say" a duet between Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson, which became a number one hit in the US after its release in 1983.
Wow! I didn't notice that Michael Jackson did a fantastic duet with Paul McCarteney! 🙂🙂😊😊🥰🥰🤗🤗 Also, he was only in his 20... Sorry... could you tell me, how old he was, when is did this duet ?
The difference is Paul's note is a falsetto while Michael's is a high-pitched scream. Both are different in intensity but equally pleasing. That's what happens when legends get together.
My FAVOURITE line from Paul is "YOUUUUUUUUU never ever worry, and you never shed a tear." Everything from the delivery of that clean, round tone, with natural vibrato that's not too fast, and the climb to "never" feels so effortless, and the little riff in "worry" is a beautiful landing point after those two soaring notes.
nobody 457853 actually my point wasn’t about how successful it was, it’s about how unknown this song is TODAY with young people. They all know they ‘Hits’ but don’t actually take the time to find some of the lesser known masterpieces
@@alexfranks3028 Yes you are right and I totally agree with you. Today's young people really should try listening to real music like this, they have no idea of what they are missing
After all humans of the earth has been extinguished, aliens do archaeological excavation on our ruins, find a media with this song, decipher it and exclaim: "Wow, this song is amazing!"
When Michael jumps out from behind the tree and sings "All alone", it makes me feel ALIVE. His voice is so full of soul it tugs at my heartstrings and makes me want to go and hug him
@@MamiNovaViolette What do you mean stop lying lol. Facts too hard to take? Michael asked for financial advice and Paul said get into music publishing then he turns around and buys all his songs. Really shitty move.
Paul sounds AMAZING. I love his voice and music. He amazes me every time i listen to him. And of course, MJ always killin everything he does. They sound GREAT together.
This song is so great. It's weird, Paul McCartney does sound great but as soon as MJ starts singing it goes into another realm. Full of energy and it feels like a different song lol.
Heal the world, make it a better place, A man with a message, a smiling face, Through the pain, he found his way, In his music, forever, he'll stay. Beat It, with a fearless stride, Black or White, he stood with pride, Man in the Mirror, change within, Michael's spirit, a lasting win. He danced upon the stage so bright, With moves that took us to new heights, His voice, a gift from up above, A legacy of music, peace, and love. Though he's gone, his songs remain, In our hearts, his eternal reign, Michael Jackson, forevermore, The King of Pop, we'll always adore.
@@chriscampbell4758 lol, I am also a fan of MJ and everyday I found a song that i never heard, it's never ends, If it's not Michael Jackson's songs it's the Jackson's, I never heard them all, lol, and I am glad about it, there's also an underrated song named '' Elizabeth I love you '' by MJ, it's really underrated and '' Little Suzie '' by Michael, you should listen to it too, they are very beautiful songs ~
This duo is harmonizing so well together. They're on two ends of the scale, then McCartney is tying it all together by tossing in some echos of Michael Jackson's higher pitched notes. Besides the musical harmony, their body language and chemistry is outstanding.
This song is massively underrated. Since always I love MJ and Beatles songs but just now I've came across this masterpiece. It is just impossible to stop listening it.
If you haven't already be sure to check out Paul and Stevie Wonder on Ebony and Ivory. The greatest duets of all time has two major points of contention which is #1 Paul and MJ or Paul and Stevie the second controversial point is what is number 3
@@misterdarren3622 This is so true, and yet this song is essentially lost. I suspect that music companies know that a new generation discovering this song would make them realize that is completely blows new stuff like Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, Kayne... out of the water.
I was a bouncer at a club called Electric Avenue in Montreal from 2006-2007 and they had a kick-ass sound system and all the walls were set up to glow with the music. Saturday nights the DJ had a light guy in and they would have the whole place going. This was one of my favorite songs because it sounded so good on their system. A lot of good music was playing, but this had that extra 10% of sound engineering that would just make the place melt. I will never forget it and I wish I could go back to experience it again.
Wow, thank you for your amazing comment, Stacey! It's fans like you who make all the hard work worth it. Your love and support means everything. I'm grateful for it every day. I bet you still enjoy it as much as you should?
Paul is good by normal standards, but MJ just shows how far vocally he is above any one else. His lyrical flow can not be rivalled. MJ was one of a kind, and its hard to believe he was a mere mortal like us...
and in 2018! 2 days ago, it's been 9 years since Michael's death. no one has been able to dominate this industry like him, ever...a real King. They are both kings, legends.
This is why we are still talking about this man 40 years later. MJ was the King of Pop for a reason. And Paul MacCartney is a legend in his own right being apart of the legendary group The Beatles. Nothing needs to be said after that statement. The rest is history. 💯 The Beatles resume speaks for itself.
Michael Jackson was incredible but the Beatles were something special one in a lifetime what they did in 7 years will never be matched. Not even Jackson has a body of work like the Beatles
@@benjaminbird2301😂😂 ya dijistes banda Paul por si solo no es nadie en cambio Jackson 5 fue revelante y Jackson por si solo brillo más que nadie el pop es revelante gracias a el. El rock murió hace mucho tiempo
@@nj830 yea he died unfortunately but this person means that his memory is alive. Plus its not like he's dead dead, his soul is still alive somewhere, it just left earth
@@dky_1353 you do know Paul McCartney can sing higher than Freddie Mercury and lower than Elvis and Frank Sinatra lol. He is technically better than Freddie Mercury cause Paul could do much more than Freddie.
elandore im british so stfu, i was joking hence my kiss at the end. In life you have to get over bad news with a joke so lighten up. I actually love micheal jackson, my favourite song would have to be billie jean. I also love leave me alone too! And smooth criminal. Thank you x
Joe Rogan said it's because Michael was castrated at birth to keep jiz voice high but at the same time keep him frustrated so he would have an angry rock tone
If RU-vid existed back then, this would probably have a couple hundred million, if not over a billion views: Say Say Say was a massive hit, being a number one hit in the United States, Canada, Finland, France, Italy, Norway, Spain, and Sweden. It was also in the top five in Australia, Ireland, South Africa, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. One of the best duets ever (and it still is in 2023) :)
Well views don't pay nearly as well as album and single sales did. And this sold a ton, which was what was truly important. And MJ's collaboration with at that point the most famous Beatle living helped even further lift Thriller in to the stratosphere.
I'd be honored if some 80s fans would take a listen to my acoustic piano & vocal performances of MAN IN THE MIRROR by Michael Jackson and PURPLE RAIN by Prince on my YT channel in tribute to the legends. Live acoustic with no autotune. Thanks and peace.
Walmart radio played this other day.... I'm like oh my....I started dancing...that's when u know the music has taken over your being...Michael Jackson will always have a place in my heart.❤❤❤
Anything MJ sang on in the '80s was a smash hit -- Didn't matter if he sang one verse, the chorus, the hook, one word, or a single syllable...Simply amazing
It's very bright, crisp and exuberant. +Tarantulisimo That in itself isn't artistically commendable. Look at boybands whose gushing disciples consistently render their dreck number one.
I remember this video very much, It was filmed in the Los Olivos / Los Alamos,Calif. area. I was 23 years old and heard they were filming there .I lived in Los Angeles at the time so I drove up and got to meet Paul McCartney. Didn't get to meet Michael tho.I spent about a ½ hr. talking to Paul and that was one of the highlights of my life! He was very down to earth and very approachable . After the filming Michael Jackson immediately took off to a local hotel. He didn't really talk to anyone , but he probably was tired. A day I'll never forget!
Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson, two music legend perform in one video, what's else can you asked for . thank you Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson for your greatest contribution to this World , you two will never be forgotten
Some of you guys act like assholes, you should feel fucking blessed that two LEGENDS made 3 songs together, instead of bashing on them! Michael is amazing, his voice, his personality, his looks, EVERYTHING. And Paul.. Come on, he's Paul McCartney, he's one of the biggest names in the music industry. This song is amazing, thanks to both of the artists. So let them be (Ironic, huh?).
This song is a blessing, two legends making a song together, the experience in song writing of McCartney with the energy and voice of a young Micheal Jackson, just amazing
My boyfriend and I haven't been dating each other for a long time but have known each other for over 5 years. He helped me out of a troubling relationship before I realized he was the one for me. Recently, we spoke about our taste in music growing up. He adored Michael Jackson while I thrived on The Beatles. Now, we found this song, and in a way, it feels like it was meant to be. Seeing our childhood artists collaborate in an amazing song. Maybe I'm crazy, but this was really sweet considering 8 year old me grew up on the cartoons, songs, and movies, while he tried to memorize MJ's dance moves at just 6, blasting his songs to this day.
@@starquant Over the top description i think. Yap, Paul get upset Michael outbid and outsmart him, after he gave him the advice on music industry nonetheless. But i don't recall it's ever gotten very ugly. It just they didn't get friendly anymore after that incident. Anyway, Paul finally reclaim The Beatles catalog now...
