Unrequited love sucks hard! I feel like this towards someone I know could never be mine, so I truly can relate. Michael's love for Diana was pure and unedited. I know that Vitiligo is very connected with the emotional. And I think the strong stress, anguish or even anger he went through at this time of Diana's wedding caused Vitiligo to worsen (in addition to the Pepsi accident since suffering burns is also aggravating for Vitiligo). Realize that it was at that time (1986 ---->) that Vitiligo became more difficult to hide. I'm sure one of the reasons why Michael's Vitiligo was so advanced was because of his emotional problems (depression is also a big aggravating factor)

This is really interesting. I never knew the depths of their relationship. It's clear that she was the love of Michael's life. So much so, her marriage to another man probably had a deep emotional effect on him for the remainder of his life. Heck, I wouldn't even be surprised if it were partially responsible for the dramatic changes he made to his appearance.
I agree. He never recovered from the heartbreak and that's when he seemed to get weird. Looking back at his performances, he was jamming, but he also looked angry. I think this played a huge role in his appearance, and not his dad's verbal abuse. I see him in a new light now. I hate that happened to him.

True. I'm in this situation. I never thought as woman I'd be into another woman. Until I met a girl at work. She was 4 yrs younger, 23 and myself 27. She was stunning. And everyone in the office thought so. But it was like something in me woke up. We became friends quickly, sharing a lot of the same interests. Then got really close. (Bringing each other food, gifts. Waiting for each other before or after work. Her morther would bake me things) started flirting. Which I didn't notice until it was pointed out to me. I didn't realize just how close was were. We called each other wifey. Even at work. At one point she asked me to be her roomate. People starting calling me her girl. She left our toxic job 2 yrs later and move out of the city. Since then she has come in and out of my life for 10 yrs now. I have watched her stay in a unhealthy relationship. Listen to her cry in the phone at night. Only to disapper, and come back. As of this yr she popped back up and was pregnant. That hurt. I played happy for her. Even making her baby shower party favors. But didn't attend. My friend who knew. Warned me how hard that would have been. She now a mother and her son is precious. On occasion she will still flirt. She has my all love and in a way, she knows. Even though I try to keep it friendly. I have dated after meeting her but my mind always goes back to her. We never even kissed beyond the check. It makes no sense if they were very close friends or if he wanted to honor her because the lyrics do not match. And at that time he was very angry and hurt at her and MJ was too smart to make a song to upset her and at the same time explain to people that it was about groupies. But let's be honest ... the song is not about a groupie. He sings with a lot of emotion and at the shows he sings the song almost in anger. So sad but I believe every bit of it. Hey I was a kid once and in love with an older woman but that was only puppy love as I knew better.
