Fun fact: Thriller is the only music video inducted into the National Film Registry, as "culturally, historically or aesthetically significant". This video changed music videos forever👑❤️👏🏾
When Thriller premiered, the world literally came to a screeching halt as everyone gathered around their TVs to watch this. I heard that in restaurants/bars that had televisions, even the kitchen staff came out to watch.
Our parents woke us up at midnight and allowed to watch this video when it premiered on a Friday night at 11:59 I believe. Watched on 13 inch tv with hanger and best moment of my 12 year old life at that time.
I feel like it's kind of impossible to convey just how huge Michael Jackson was in his heyday. It was beyond "pop star"; he was like a force of nature.
This video always reminded me of a movie starring Michael Landon(Little House on the Prairie)…Movie was called “I was a Teenage Werewolf “. RIP MJ and Vincent.
"Any similarity to actual events or persons living, dead (OR UNDEAD) is purely coincidental" xDDDD Anytime I see that sentence, I think it's funny, and I can't help but laugh at it
You guys should react to 'Remember The Time' and 'The Way You Make Me Feel/Man In The Mirror' live at the Grammys. You won't be disappointed with either.
Loving your reactions so far; check out his Beat It Music Video next! By extension, you two should react to some of his younger days in the Jackson 5: I Want You Back Live 1969 Ed Sullivan Show!
You guys are a pleasure to watch. The interaction between you both is fun to watch, and your love of music is contagious. Have you seen MJ's " Beat It " video? It is great. Keep up the good work.
The phrase "See You Next Wednesday" is a trademark of John Landis, who directed this video. It shows up frequently in his movie, either quoted by a character or written somewhere. It's a reference to an early movie he made when he was in drama class.
FUN FACT: at the very moment (the last 3 seconds) when she cut it off, with that ONE last "zombie" close-up on the screen? THAT's Mr. Vincent Price himself -- in full "zombie" costume.... ~ b. #DarknessFallsAcrossTheLand #TheMindnightHourIsCloseAtHand......
John Landis is this the director who also Directed the movie "The Twilight Zone" which killed Vic Morrow and two other kids who were Asian. He and one of the children where decapitated. Vic's daughter is famous in her own right. She's the actress Jennifer Jason-leigh.

Did you two do a reaction video to MICHAEL JACKSON'S GHOSTS YET? GHOSTS AND THILLER ARE LIKE MOVIE...THE ORIGINAL THEN A SEQUEL.... THRILLER (ORIGINAL) GHOSTS (SEQUEL)
That statement in the beginning was to nog get kicked out of the Jehova's witness church. A few years later it still happened. The Jehova witnesses have a lot of rules around portraying certain things and of you cross these rules you get excommunicated and others are required to do this as well. It's kinda like scientology and this has ripped families apart. If you like movies, Chris Stuckmann (big RU-vid movie reviewer) told his story about this. Btw, MJ tried recreating something like this (well a bit different and and more kid friendly) with Ghosts. It actually a 40 minute mini movie that has the songs 'Is it Scary' and 'Ghosts' as part of it. 'Is it Scary' is one of those songs that deserves to be heard more. The interesting thing is that there was an HD version of Ghosts they released on the official MJ channel last Halloween, but they removed it again for some reason.
You're wrong. Michael was the pioneer of music videos. He called them short films that had a beginning, middle and end. He also was the first artist with backup dancers behind him. He was a visionary who never believed in mediocrity
He made short films not music vids...amazing artist he was. He was the perfect entertainer with all skills and abilities. Dancing skills, vocal skills, perfect dancer body,he was charismatic, powerful, beautiful on screen and on stage..he was a visionary artist who was music itself. Take a bow of Him...shame on media.
OK. I am officially on your Michael Jackson experience journey train , keep em coming! Please do Michael Jackson Stranger In Moscow! These videos are really making me happy, you guys are really lovely ❤️
This is 1982,83 ,he spent a million dollars on this video hired a real movie producer and director with all the technology now people have no imagination or real passion for their own work
FUN FACT: Michael Jackson watched the John Landis movie "An American Werewolf In London" and loved it! It was a horror comedy. Also he loved the makeup by Rick Baker. So Michael got Rick Baker to make Michael a werewolf and a Zombie.Yes and Michael got the director of that movie, John Landis, to direct his music video "Thriller"
Been waiting for this!! “Beat it” is a wonderful music video as well. And about the HD version....yes they did an IMAX HD version a few years ago. Was released in theaters too
There is a before and after this masterpiece, changed forever the way who singers made his videoclips, this videoclip changed everything, the greatest album of all time.
