thanks for posting the interview bro - Michael Jai White fuck'n kicks ass !! I hadn't seen his movies, up until a few days ago - and it's Blood and Bone that really got me on Netflix - I didn't realize what a freak'n talented actor with skilled martial arts he has - again, thnx for posting - great interview
Michael Jai White is one of the best martial arts fighters in the world. However, he is not the only one. There are other good fighters such as Scott Adkins, Sammo Hung, Donnie Yen, Dolph Lundgren (who holds a B. S. in Chemistry), Jason Statham, Wu Jing, some female martial arts fighters among others. Michael Jai White is not the ordinary fighter. He is a Middle School U. S. History teacher and holds seven black belts from seven different martial arts disciplines.
@jaxblade07 The man is the best and most talented overall martial artist in Hollywood history...absolutely astounding and very very difficult for anyone, especially a Black man who achieved what he has in the era that he had to do it.
I see your point sir but I must answer this question. The reason Michael Jai White was not in Expendables is because my good lad he is a Martial Art film star.
i wonder if anyone else tries that watch one would your arm fall off? big watch on a big arm, the most modest way to showcase your strength. anyone agree?
He looks to still be in shape enough to pull it off. I just wonder what studio would tackle it. I'm sure it would have mind blowing special effects in it. I don't remember what property Spawn is from as in the comic book company it belongs too. I imagine it would be advertised as an action horror film since the story and its origins are so dark. I think maybe it was Dark Horse Comics now that I think of it that Spawn belonged too. Anyway I'm sure it would be rated R without a doubt and be aimed at the college (young adult) crowd. I just wonder how they would do the story and who would play the roles (like the part of the wife Wanda or the Violator). Be funny if they brought back Leguizamo and White since they faced off in the 1997 film. He died in the film in that building fire after Sheen dropped the cigarette but in the comics he died on the battlefield as a soldier in warfare. Be interesting if they went a whole different route and had him be a cop in the latest version and had him die in a shootout with terrorists or gang members who were about to shoot up a playground as they target rivals.
You ever see T'Challa the Black Panther? He's better than Batman, he's Marvel's Batman...and he IS Black. African in fact. King of Wakanda. On top of that, DC has BatWING...who is essentially their Black Panther. BatWing is the Batman of Africa. So yeah...there's a Black Batman in both comic genres.
In what way was bruce better; other than is exposure via hollywood.Your forgetting all you know of Bruce Lee is make believe.Could he do martial arts, for sure; but how many real life scenarios have we seen him in.Michael Jai White magnetism is growing and if he is allowed the exposure his influence could have the same effect on a new generation of martial arts followers...Lets not turn bruce into a new Religon...peace.
michael jai white is definitely really good, you can actually call him great...but i would probably say donnie yen in terms of speed and acting a fight on camera is still better, also his technique is a few % better...but who gives a fuck they both bad ass and make a whole bunch a paper xD
