Tim Duncan is a center. He starts the game as a 4 and then goes to the 5 spot when the ball is tipped. He wants to be labeled as a power forward so he would not have to go up against Kareem, Russel Wilt Shaq Hakeem and Ewing as greatest ever. Barkley and Malone are the two greatest power forwards.
No Ryan Duncan WAS and ALWAYS WAS A PF. He was SIMPLY THE BEST LOW POST PLAYER? He and ROBINSON just took turns on their PATENT HIGH/LOW OFFENSE. He is DOING the SAME THING NOW with ALDRIDGE just HE NOW IS ROBINSON, PASSIN to ALDRIDGE in THE POST?
Ryan Davis He is a PF.. I never saw him at C against Shaq for example.. David Robinson was C and later some random guys.. He started to playing C, when all BIG guys dissapeared from the NBA
I don't think the game of basketball will ever come to this level of talent and excitement again. I find myself nervous and excited watching this game and I can look at a game coming on tonight and it will be like watching paint dry!#imisstheolddays.
00:25 unreal athleticism. And for those without any aesthetic sense, I'm talking about the full-body control. Those who have a taste for these things, you know...
barkley is on another level... the combination of speed and power is insane. the closest thing comparable to sixers barkley is lebron, but lebron wasnt as physical as him. also gotta love late 80s/early 90s basketball! just look at sixers frontcourt = barkley, mahorn, gminski... good luck getting any rebounds against them.
In this game, Rick Barry, doing color commentary, said, "Michael is the best player I've ever seen." This was only Jordan's 4th full season before he won a championship.
michael macgregor - seriously. Honestly, in some ways, I think Chuck is clearly better than LBJ. Chuck is clearly a better rebounder, by far a better post player and he was similar to MJ in that he played better on the biggest stages. LBJ is perhaps the better overall player but it's not nearly as big a gap as one might think. Chuck had all the skills of a guard as well as being an incredible post presence - imagine him playing in today's wide open game? He would dominate and i mean truly dominate.
raider nation - nice proof, lol. Certainly it's close but there are many areas Barkley's better. He's a better rebounder, better post player, better clutch player. He's much tougher mentally. Barkley was a competitor who shined when the pressure was greatest. LBJ is the opposite. He wilts in the big moments. Media is constantly lying and making excuses for him. Lbj - "my basically broken hand! That's why I lost. Don't worry about the two handed dunks. Forget that happened. My BASICALLY broken hand!"! Lmfao! If Barkley had the same opportunities and the NBA behind him allowing him to form his own teams and all the other nonsense, he'd have accomplished so much. Especially as weak as the East was during LBJ's stretch. He never faced one team the came close in talent to his two super teams. Everyone ignores it because ESPN lies nonstop and ignores the facts when the facts don't line up with their narrative. It's pathetic. LBJ is great but he's overrated. Bottom line, I'd have no problem picking Barkley over LBJ. He might not bee outright better but it's close. And he's tougher. Period. Under pressure, that's everything.
