And it's funny how MJ haters NEVER say shit about that one but instead claim that he pushed off on Russell, which he didn't (one of the reverse angle replays shows it clearly). MJ in this game at age 35 played 43:41, more than anybody else on either team, and had to carry the load even more than usual since Pippen only scored 8 pts in 25 min after aggravating a back injury (from game 3) on a dunk 16 sec into the game. MJ was exhausted and short on some jumpers, which is why he only shot 15/35 (42.9%) FG, though was still good from 3 at 3/7 (42.9%) and with FTs at 12/15 (80.0%). But to score 45 on the road to win his 6th ring, with only 1 turnover, was pretty unreal.

Don’t know if anyone has commented this yet but had Jordan not hit that shot and the Jazz would’ve won this game, game 7 would’ve also been in Utah I believe with a Scottie Pippen who was having major back problems and I’m not quite sure he would’ve been able to play at all in that game. Most likely the Bulls lose that game 7 and Jordan becomes 5-1 in the finals. All hypothetical yes but just goes to show how monumental this span of events was.

Let me explain... Stockton was not guarding Pippen on Jazz defense. He was helping Russel with Jordan. On the other side of the floor, it was not that the bulls were not playing good D. John Stockton and Karl Malone were fierce. They were the two (and Jeff Horn) were the people you studied film for to prepare for the game. They were those dudes in Utah.
