I hope people know MJ was 35 y/o during the last dance. Played all 82 regular season games and still dominated without load managing. No judgements on anyone else, just acknowledging greatness!
I am not from the USA and i can say for sure that the frenzy surrounded the NBA in my country during the 90's was never the same after MJ retired. That team truly defined a generation.
Not just Michael Jordan is the GOAT, but it's like watching a artist painting a canvas on the court. When Michael play, everyone glue there eye on the court to see what amazing thing he would do and you're along for the ride. MIchael Jordan never had a off button. It was on every night and you get your money's worth.
@@evxp31711-9 is understandable, considering his squad at the time. Also, the Pippen narrative has been debunked for over an decade; Pippen wasn't an all star the year they first won. Also, if you go back and watch those previous series with Pippen before they won, it was Pippen and Jordan's supporting cast that choked when it mattered. Another thing, he had Pippen and '95...and lost (and this was Pippen still near his peak). That center position, I would argue, was WAY more important than Pippen on those teams, considering it was an era of All-time centers.
Am probably the biggest fan of MJ from india. I was in US when Scottie, MJ and Rodman used to win it for Chicago. Even saw few of them matches in the stadium. Will not forget GOD of basketball ever. Greatest ever period.
By that second championship run he was just playing on an entirely higher level than the rest of the league. It's like watching a supreme artist at home in his craft. It almost looks too easy although we know he worked his tail off to get to and maintain that level. He always just seems a step, a move, a play ahead of the rest of the court. It's sort of odd watching it all play out -- like he had an instruction book that others just didn't have. I guess that's the essence of the point people make when they say that MJ's "basketball IQ" was just off the charts by the second 3peat run. It's beautiful to watch now, in retrospect and it was beautiful to watch then as a witness to that greatness. Long live the king.
Just the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen on hardwood. Michael Jordan was graceful on the court as a ballerina in dance with his athleticism, competitiveness and perfection in fundamentals made him the greatest.
I don't know why I felt emotional watching this. Just proud he was part of my childhood. Watching him during his career made me feel like I was part of it. THE G.O.A.T.
What sets Michael apart from the other players is that for him it wasn't about the money, it wasn't about fame. When he stepped out on to the court he literally wanted to beat you no matter what. And he did it with ease and skills no other player had.
I’m Hispanic and grew up in chicago since I was 12 years old. Spoke little English back then. But was able to understand how great MJ was. I was lucky to watch him and the Bulls play on live tv. Had followed nba since then and in the past 26 years since then, have not seen anything like it or close to it. And not to forget how hard the other teams played defense and all the great ones he played against.
In June people will see the one and only TRUE GOAT. All you young bucks don't understand how great MJ was. This man would play golf all day drink beer and smoke cigars then later that night play basketball and dominate. That's how good he was. He never sat out to rest like today's pussy players do, he played as much as he could and was dominating through the age of 35. Even when he played for the Wizards he avg 20 points a game that was unheard of at his age. There will never be another MJ nobody comes close. Only people that grew up watching him will know who the greatest of all time was is and ever will be.
Just pure greatness. This is probably the 100th time I'm watching this video and it ignites a fire within me every single time to make the most of my life, to strive towards my goals. His airness is truly the Greatest of all time !!! I'm showing this video to my kids :')
Thanks for sharing - Unbelievable that this was already 18 years ago. I can still remember watching the playoffs in the 90s like it was yesterday. Guess I'm kind of getting old :)
MJ the greatest of all time. 🐐. Nobody will ever surpass him. I was blessed to have witnessed his career as a teenager. The guy was an absolute killer. I may even say the greatest athlete of all times.
snowflakes dont understand how great he was but they will.. just watch his movements he never looked confused or non graceful perfection at its best.. no one even close to him
Whenever I'm tired at work and just sick of it and want to give up, Jordan never fails to inspire me to always fight and keep going. He has made my life better. Thank you Michael.
Jordan’s greatness can be seen and realized even in the worst of video quality but this quality will do wonders for this new generation and ones in the future. Great video!!!
This is the NBA I grew up with. Not the bunch of superfluous-overhyped-me-first sissies we have on court now. An elbow from the mailman would knock off the heads of KD, Harden (Artest's elbow was just a pat), etc. NBA on NBC was a treat for the family and for my buddies at the Sports Bar. When the comish David Stern decided to go Global so as to get more audience to buy NBA stuff, the quality we always were used to went south. So far, Mr Adam Silver hasn't done anything in his power to rectify this tremendous faux pas. I miss the real NBA ... RIP.
Agreed!!! I’m 41 now and this era is what I grewup watching. Hard to compare anything to this era of basketball. Not even close. Just the way players carried themselves. Classy and professional. No showboating. No attention addicts. Just business and play and all the fame and fortune came with it. Things change I understand that. For it to change to what we have now is a dam travesty. 🤦🏽♂️😔
the one and only.....the greatest of all times.i saw all those finals on tv and from that moment i loved chicago bulls and michael jordan.that team was great
That mid-range game and the way he developed and got better as he got older is to be genuinely appreciated he always had the athleticism but as you get older you have to put your mind and work moreso respect
I am and I'm not even a Bulls nor I never rooted for MJ but no one can't deny he was a legend and those Bulls teams were like a rock and roll band. Even females who didn't like basketball knew about Michael Jordan and that was insane to me and my friends
MJ is the greatest basketball player of all times ! There will never be another Michael Jordan and he is not comparable to anyone playing in the NBA thus far.
Thank you for this HD video. I was not born when he was playing but from the numerous clips i've seen, it was really mesmerizing to see him play the game. He really captures your attention and you will inadvertently follow him wherever on the court. Like so many have said, there is really no one like him in the NBA now.
@gerizzyYMcrew Wrong. Maybe for the first third or so of the season while Pippen was out, but Chicago wouldn't have won without all of the pieces they had in place. MJ is by far the GOAT in my eyes, but to suggest that his team around him had little to do with their dominance is absurd. Jordan was 35 years old. He without a doubt lost a part of his game under the rim. That's not to say that he lost it entirely, but if you go look at the years after his baseball hiatus, you'll clearly see that he began to favor his signature midrange fadeaway over his under-rim acrobatics. The year prior to Pippen's injury, he led the team in both steals and assists if i'm not mistaken, and was second in scoring. Had he gotten traded away like he wanted, they without a doubt lost in the finals to Utah. Everyone who goes on saying that Michael was the team wasn't paying attention to Pippen. Unfortunately he will forever be in MJ's shadow undoubtedly due to MJ's personality and drive, but Pippen was the second best player in the league at the time in my opinion. His defense was unbreakable, and his ability to score opened Jordan's game up even more. Same with Kerr and Kukoc. Both great shooters that made it harder for defenses to cover everyone. Rodman was one of the most ferocious rebounders in the history of the NBA. You take away either Pippen or two of the three others, and the entire season could have turned out differently. Jerry Kraus was a rat of a man, but god damn did he know how to assemble a team.
This is mashup - original full movie : "Michael Jordan to the Max" also IMAX documentary film released in 2000 year also available on BR Disc www.imdb.com/title/tt0245280/
With the upcoming Last Dance ESPN documentary coming out in HD, I hope that young folks start to realize the main thing about MJ was that he was the most ruthless cut- your-throat MF to ever touch a basketball!
I truly look up to this man, he made mistakes but he is a hero to me. Long live the legend, the greatest to every play the game Michael Jordan. This man literally inspired me to go after my dreams. Saw him play one game on tv, changed my life idk what game it was but to see him play to see how he would move.... just woww. The opening to space jam says it all. A dreamer got to dream Thanks for being you Michael, I may never meet you but you helped
I see what Michael Jordans fans are so excited about when watching this man playing basketball. What Michael does on the court seems to be nearly impossible and just goes to show what is possible when you practice as much and as hard as Michael Jordan does. What can I say? If you want to be like Michael Jordan, practice, practice, practice and than when you think you've done enough, practice, practice, practice again. Michael Jordan is great because he has paid his dues and deserves the honors for the work he's done.
This is why i loved him compare to any legend. He is amazing over decade to decade and STILL COUNTING. D GOAT , HE SURPASSED BEYOND EXPECTATION And Coach Pop and Phil Jackson knew the real NBA game, and it was during the 1990's.
I remember watching these games. It was magical. I was in my early teenage years, waking up in 2/3/4 am in mid 90's to watch them since I'm living in Europe. Every game MJ played felt like a movie. When MJ retired I completely stopped watching basketball. He made basketball look like an art form. Basketball halls were always full. Everyone wanted to see him play. I don't care who you compare him to, but you'll never find a better and more complete player and athlete. It's not only about his skills, but also mentality and motivation and how he pushed the whole team to be on his level. He's The Supreme Master. I'm thrilled that I was able to witness those events by myself. Thank you MJ. Love you forever.
Fun facts “ so When their was a rumor that he was making his first come back I bought my tickets 3 months in advance Vs Celtics and I believe it was the second game anyhow I about a pair so my older brother asked me “hey can i join with you I said kindly NO bc he never believe in me that mj was making a come back .. so instead I took my younger brother .. so the experience was unreal really; just amazing . It was the year I moved from Minnesota to Boston . I witness a legend in person it was priceless . Oh yeah he also scored 35pts .
MJ- "Somewhere there's a kid working he won't skip any steps he will learn from my example just as I've learned from others" that kid was KOBE and he deffo lived up to what jordan did before he past away ! RIP KOBE
Wish they had hd footage of his early years. I’m convinced that the grainy low quality video of his 80’s years is the reason kids doubt his GOATNESS. He was by far and away the best ever- in ANY sport.
Look at the Bulls Spacing They probably reinvented the space and phase concept. What a beauty ,seeing a Great Legendary Phenom embracing a system and team play
Grew up watching him even from the nose bleed section, just being there with my family in the old united center and new was more than amazing experience for me. The love i had for the nba isnt the same as 2k era. Miss the old days..
MJ of course has a lot of natural talent and perhaps the most ever, but even then, I can't see him doing the things he did without a LOT of practice. I think a lot of people don't appreciate the great deal of work he put into becoming who he is.
