@@lokijam I’m a die hard Yankees fan. I’m just a realist. Judge isn’t that guy and he’s the one we have leading the team. We missed the playoffs last year, and were swept the year before that in the playoffs with judge grounding out for the final out. Soto is the only spark on the squad. If he leaves, the wins are leaving too.
He's 25 years old. He may be in phenomenal shape and athletically gifted, but he has a lot to learn. This is why athletes have agents to keep them from doing stupid things. Why would it be stupid? Stupid is thinking the player works for the agent. The agent works for the player. The agent can't keep Soto from doing anything. Now, should Soto go to free agency first? Yes. Can we stop acting as if Boras is some sort of puppet master. All of the other agents do what their clients want. Why is everyone acting as if Boras is different? Any player who allows Boras to tell them where to play is a fool. That is how a player ends up rotting as an Angel because the Angels paid the most. Meanwhile, you will never win, but you have the most money. Most of these players want to win and make money.

They overestimate Boras. A Player like Soto exactly tells him what he wants. So if Soto is Dollars first: well, then He could end up as Angel, Met whatever... . But if he wants to be a Yankee and Hal is willing to pay him, for example up 600 or 700 Mil, there s gonna be a way. Is it likely? Probably not. But it s not impossible. So why did Betts and Altuve extend, bc on the market they probably could have earned some more? Why chose Ohtani and Yamamoto not Mets or Blue Jays? Bc these Players exactly know where they wanna be. Yankees already have three bad contracts on Stanton, Rodon and Judge. Why on Earth do you want a 4th bad contract of Juan mediocre Soto? Let him go to the Mets or Dodgers. Or if you want Juan Soto then Aaron Judge must be traded. Who in their right mind wants to give Juan Soto a $700 million dollar contract? He doesn't deserve half of that amount. Yankees will regret that contract, the same as Aaron Judge's untradable contract. All these mega contracts aren't tradable.
