He always seemed like a knowitall (i'm american, so only YT introduced me to him), but someone who makes you a little mad keeps you coming back, and the knowitall part lets you know he isn't just going to have clueless fluff questions.
Also, I've never darkened the doorstep of anything in Canada, but I can recite the Keg commercial any hour of the day now thanks to its drone like repetition on landsberg's program.
@@daw162 “The Keg Steakhouse and Bar - for great steak, good friends, see you tonight!” It was so ingrained that when I visited Vancouver from the UK I went in one of their restaurants as soon as I saw the sign. Guess the advertising worked on me!
Kurt Angle was SO FU^$KING HIGH when he did Landsburg's show it was scary. I wondered "Is this guy going to drop dead?".....But this show was symptomatic of how differently Wrestling was viewed in Canada then the states. For YEARS Pro Wrestling was the #2 sport in Canada, behind Hockey. YES, people knew it was a work, but it didn't MATTER! To Canadians it was a WORKED SPORT!....And Canadians RESPECTED the business as a sport, as long as thier intelligence was not insulted. It was in the early 2000's that Vince started insulting the intelligence of the Canadian Wrestling fan, and THAT is when it declined in Canada. Remember, Canada was the first place to turn on the WWE product. Remember "Bizzaro world"? That was the term they applied to Canadian Wrestling fans when they started turning on the product. But all Canadians wanted was for the product to be treated like a real sport, a worked sport, but have that "work" play out in a logical way that didn't insult the audience....unfortunatly....Vince didn't do that.
