@@jeremyswann2228 my favorite promo interview he ever cut was with Joe Rogan talking about the Brian stann fight, and a double interview with Jon Jones and Rogan. My favorite actual real moments with him, is when he is promoting other Fighters or talking about the sport and future of the industry. He's a powerful analyst
@Joshua M. Agreed, Chael gets it. Conner gets it too, other fighters should learn how to "talk" even just for the entertainment lol. Have a good one sir
He never said he was going to do those things to Silva’s wife. He said to TELL HIM he was going to do those things. Chael was correct although in a very too literal sense
2:24 LMFAO I CANT STOP LAUGHING Dan: "What happened in that press conference?" Chael: "We got asked questions by the media and then we responded to them with our voices"
I like the chemistry between the two...Chael insults the reporter with class, but the reporter also accepts all the insults with class and goes along with it...and the fact that Chael shows respect for the reporter's father is truly satisfying
5:09 "Who could expect you to recall something that happened as far ago as last night" chael is an extreme entertainer that everyone wants to have on their side wow
Dude is good that his interviews seem like they were written and rehearsed by all parties involved for weeks before performing it. What an absolute legend.
That "what happened at the press conference"" question got me wheezing leaning over my table in a hysteria laugh attack😂😂😂 Chael's dry humor is legendary🤣
dan: what do you say to the critic who says “well sonnen’s just a big mouth who was only in that fight the first time because his testosterone levels were four times higher than they should’ve been” chael: i would say “hello”
Except he didn't end his career. Considering Dan is still hosting the exact same show on the exact same network. While Chael actually did say he would "slap his manager just like his wife if she didn't make him a steak medium rare". What Chael did was nitpick to make it sound like he never said that when he actually did. Which is completely unfair and petty. Its not like Dan was trying to twist his words or something. Chael obviously just doesn't like the guy personally.
4:20 It was at this moment that Chael bent the very fabric of reality and erased that moment from existence, but he only let the interviewer remember to mess with him
To be fair, Le Betard did exactly what Chael said he would do lol. Chael said he would not find the actual footage of him saying it, but just a quote on the internet where someone says that he said it...and that's exactly Le Betard did.
+mrjericho5701 its easy to blame a loss on some light form of superstition like luck. in reality Chael got caught and Silva is trained to do that. the same way that Silva fans try to act like Weidman didnt beat Silva fair as we can tell now (they were probably both roided)is the same way people try to blame this loss on luck, or karma or god or whatever weak position. in reality Chael was probably winning that fight and he lost, and its okay
+mrjericho5701 its easy to blame a loss on some light form of superstition like luck. in reality Chael got caught and Silva is trained to do that. the same way that Silva fans try to act like Weidman didnt beat Silva fair and square (as far we can tell now and they were probably both roided and Sonnen was definitely roided, he failed a test)is the same way people try to blame this loss on luck, or karma or gods or whatever weak position. in reality Chael was probably winning that fight and he lost, and its okay. even if luck actually existed you would still have to justify the fact that Sonnens dominance could be due to being juiced.
The thing that cracks me up is that Sonnen never seems to lack conviction. He'll deny everything and tomorrow we'll all forget about whatever he said or did.
I fucking love this guy, chael takes real fights, he's tough as hell and he's the best smack talker in all of mma, I don't get why any body ( especially Americans) have such negative attitudes towards him
"If something's wrong with your tooth in Brazil there's some witchdoctor that'll wave a fish bone in front of you and hope you feel better" 😂😂 Chael Sonnen 🙌🙌🤣
I would rather my father have to see me get beat up by Sonnen physically in a cage than for him to sit next to me with a fake smile, and have to silently watch while I am emasculated and verbally murdered on live tv. Chael is the original savage of mma.
A Chael classic. Nice that it ended in good spirit. Chael's always been every interviewer's dream, even with Michael Landsberg it all went well in the end!
The courtesy and respect Chael gave Papi is further evidence for the love and respect he had/has for his own father. Chael had me in awe when I realized that he was taking the WWE Heel approach to his fights in the UFC, I REPEAT FIGHTS IN THE UFC. For a guy to take that approach facing absolute killers and in his case he actually fought the two guys that everyone argues are the greatest fighters ever, Anderson and Jones.
You gotta give Chael this, he has fought some of the toughest opponents in history and some of them on like two weeks notice. The man isn’t just I afraid, he’s actually eager to take on the baddest of the bad!
Dan:well I don’t have it right here Chael: oh well it was a long time ago I mean how could I expect you to recall something that happened as long ago as LAST NIGHT
