On Friday night of the 19th of October, Hartlepool United midfielder Michael Maidens tragically died. We will always remember him and he will be sadly missed. Our thoughts and condolences are with his family.
Saddening when the interviewer mentions him having time on his side, because he should of had. Nobody should die that young, he had a future ahead of him and I'm sure he would have done well. RIP.
R.I.P our number 25!!! once a poolie all ways a poolie. you where loved by so many but knew by few. but you touched the hearts of everyone you meet. i thank you for touching my life. you will be missed. you will forever be the teams 12th man!!!
Im Michaels step cousin and its a massive shock to take in. as you dont know what such lack of time you have. He had the world his feet, literally and hes a perfect example of someone who tried and succeeded and got where he wanted to be in life. Obviously his skill on the ball is nothing like the person he was, someone who always stayed true to his character, a truly good person. Id like to thank everyone for their comments, and also say that my thoughts are with heather and doug ross x
Heard the sad news enroute on the Blyth Spartans team coach going to Hucknall. We had a minutes appalse before our game in respect of Michael. He gave 100% for us during the short loan spell at the start of this season - and scored on his debut game against Alfreton. A game which we all at Blyth were fairly down with the death of our chairman earlier in that week. RIP young Michael from Blyth Spartans.
Great video for a great young lad and a great talent! such a waste of a fantastic prospect of the future. my deepest sympathys go out to michaels family, friends and girlfriend. rest in peace michael. godbless x
Such a terrible loss very emotional time for his family and friends and also some poolies i expect even though they may not kno him as good as those closer to him. My biggest condolences go to the m8 drivin. RIP Michael
To 100196kbs: Maidens made over 30 appearances for our first team. He scored our Goal of the Season for 2005/06. He was a top talent. Maidens was the passenger in a vehicle that crashed, which tragically ended his left.
