Who designs these studios? It's like a B movie alien spaceship living room. It looks look so unwelcoming, cold and hard and uncomfortable place to be in. Then they have the weird "preschool" color scheme and the giant generic ariel chopped head logo with brains showing and blood dripping down his face. I wished he talked about his unorthodox training style. Coming from Muay Thai 4 years, and studying Karate for 7 years, I can honestly say that if you want to understand the timing and distance to a tee, point sparring will help develop it so thoroughly that you will land strikes and that you didn't think you could. It's what frustrates Muay Thai fighters so much because their distance and timing are completely different. Karate concentrates on a perfect clean strike, at the perfect time. And MVP has been studying that perfection for 20 years. It's hard to deal with when you want to take a shot/or slip a shot to trade shot as most Muay Thai and MMA fighters do.

@John Hawkes Agreed -- You can watch a lot of Wonder Boy Fights where that elusive style is just hard to catch. It took a high level Muay Thai guy to really get the pattern down. and it could have gone either way. But Daily doesn't have that high of striking like a Till. And MVP in my opinion is better then Wonder Boy. When fighters realize how big the cage is there might be more of renaissance in the style.

This whole main card, especially the main event, should have been booked in the U.K. Instead, they book it in the probably most boring state of the US, Connecticut. Bellator in a nutshell. Things like that are the reason why they will never be more than the TNA of MMA.

Gabriel Mathews stephen is 3 inches shorter about 20lbs lighter, & what he is good at, MVP is also very good at. wonderboy is a decorated karate fighter, but so is MVP, & since they'd probably stand, it would definitely not be 'easy'.

Gosh you’re a fucking casual. He’s in the Grand Prix for a reason. To get better competition, to be the WW champion of Bellator, and to get more notoriety. Daley, Lima, and Rory (assuming) will be his opponents. If he beats all three, he’s no doubt a top 10 WW (including UFC).

It's pretty clear at this point that MVP wants no part of the UFC. He just doesn't want to take the risk of losing. Some of his reasoning for preferring to stay with Bellator is just ridiculous. Dude needs to grow a pair and truly test himself and his fighting style against the best in the world. This is exactly why he's known as the ultimate can crusher. If he loses to Daley it won't look good at all.

How come I can't turn away from this interview? I rarely, if EVER watch long one on one interviews with MMA fighters (I'm an MMA Superfan), or any athlete or celeb, but I couldn't turn away from this interview. When he should of been competing at the skill level he's at. Hes always chosen and happily taken all fights given to him. Ok I didn’t watch the whole thing till now an I have to say truly mvp has won this fight already because of his father I didn’t know he lost his dad just a lil bit ago an is still doin the fight just shows me his heart an his true martial artist RIP to Sir Venom Page an my father also passed from lung cancer an I wouldn’t have been able to take the fight I was in a bad place so good on him

the way he mocks his opponents after the fight is just disgusting.......i probably wouldnt even care so much if he wouldnt be fighting absolute tomato cans....if i'd be fighting these kind of guys i'd keep my head low and be quiet after i easily knock them out......

Get him back in the studio. Give some other fighters that aren't UFC fighters a platform. Bellator has some great talent that people don't know about.

That really sucks his dad died.I feel kinda bad for him with that.I am glade he decided to go with still doing the fight.That would of sucked if he dropped out,but very understandable if he did.I like Both fighters and find them to be great at what they do It is really hard to choice who to go for on this fight.I think I will make up my mind of fight day.I wish thebest of luck to both fighters and this is going to be a great fight for Bellator in general.Now that I think about it this is there first grudge match that isn't made up bs that I can see and that makes it that more exciting,can't wait see this one!!!

After MVP starches Tampax... fans will be like "Oh. Paul was old and at the end of his career. He needs to go fight in the UFC!!" They said the same thing about Ben Askren and Ben's older than Michael, yet funnily enough no one is batting an eye about Askren fighting cans his whole career.

He might be a sore loser, but daley gave us one of the best in-octagon staredowns - and subsequent fights - in the history of combat sports when he fought nick diaz. Holy shit I could rewatch that whole buildup and fight a thousand times.
