@justinlee1379
@justinlee1379 2 года назад
@@neloysinha8098 Exactly... swimming strokes and distances are like that as well-- they require completely different training. Running backwards and crawling aren't equivalents to different swimming events, a more accurate comparison would be hurdles/steeple/100-200m vs 400m. That's why Phelps is absolutely unprecedented as a swimmer because he did an insane range of events and was dominant in basically every stroke but breastroke. He swam sprints and mid-distance, and destroyed everyone who specialized in those specialties. Bolt only did sprints. He was absolutely the best at that, but Phelps was a league ahead in terms of dominating the sport overall.
@justinlee1379
@justinlee1379 2 года назад

2:25 - You should probably also mention that he also won 2 bronze medals at the 2004 Games. 3:10 - The Individual Medley order is wrong; it should be Butterfly, Backstroke, Breastroke, Freestyle. 3:38 - He was NOT defending his 200FR title from Athens - he placed 3rd in Athens after Thorpe & Hoogenband. 3:40 - You showed the Preliminaries of the 200IM instead of the Finals of the 200FR. 3:44 - This was not an 'easy win' for Phelps - his goggles had filled entirely with water & he couldn't see for 2/3 of the race. Who are you paying to edit these? Chances are you could find MANY other people who should have that job - especially as the official Olympics channel, this is embarassing.

He swims in doors I believe. That or he just straight up doesn't tan
@nalinraj4347
@nalinraj4347 2 года назад
tan occurs with long exposure to UV rays as darker skin protects better against it so genrally skins start producing pigments if it feels constant uv exposure to make skin darker thats y people at beach wearing sunglasses and bikinis get tan. cause they mostly sit/sleep on the sand and go in the sea once in a while... but in his case he is constantly swimming and always in pool so his body and face are mostly cool and his skin isn't in direct contact with UV rays due to water droplets on his body hence no tan.

Outstanding athletes with an amazing amount of olympic medals. Although they are variations in the same discipline. Imo , what impresses the most , is if an athlete win medals 3,4 or 5 olympic games in a row , not the amount of medals. It’s easier to win more medals in swimming , track , shooting & gymnastics than in boxing , high jump , wrestling or triathlon.

ellavorn raiponce : no no , I agree with you in all that , of course it takes unimaginable efforts and stamina to achieve that. Poor choice of words on my part , sorry for that. What I mean is , that for an athlete to keep beeing in that mindset for 12-16 years is more amazing to me. Only beeing able to win a single medal , every 4 years. Imagine the knucklehead stubborness , hahaha. It’s not like a boxer could alternate in the weightclasses , so he has to be like that.
