I feel people more so just forget about it/ leave it out of discussion cause on the surface it really doesn’t add much to the overall story. But the gameplay is great and when you deep dive into the lore, Coded has some very neat story implications that got touched up in in kh3
@@Nightmareunicorn7384 coded actually adds a lot of hindsight to KH2, but it’s very subtle. Data Sora doesn’t act like Sora did in KH2, he’s still not smart but he’s not an idiot. He thinks things through, knows when he’s not understanding something and interacts with characters better. He act a lot like Sora does in KH3, this is because Sora in 2 is not processing information correctly. The improper merger between him Roxas and Xion causes him problems, and only after DDD does that get resolved and he mellows out.
Funnily enough people complained about the "spinoffs" being vital to understanding the overall story by casual fans but the hardcore fans hate coded because it isn't like COM, Days, BBS, or DDD in that regard lol
Just got into the KH franchise (so far I'm enjoying it, but watching Re:COM on YT because I wanted to play a video game, not Sudoku 😆). I haven't gotten to Days yet, but all I can think of whenever it comes to mind is "*sniff* Did you ever hear of the Tragedy of Xion the Fourteenth/XIV?"
Days is the best game. Change my mind. (I have to say I'm influenced tho, as it was my first KH game ever and I loved it soooooo much that it made me play the entire series).
Correction, KH3 WITH Re:Mind was great. Base KH3 is fine enough, but the story is super underwhelming for the most part, mainly because of the pacing. The previous numbered KH games start with a bit of the original plot, then it's for the most part Disney time until the halfway point, then it slowly begins to shift back to that original plot. Meanwhile, base KH3 (Not Re:Mind considering that's seperate) has most of the original plot near the VERY end, and while sometimes it's tied into the plot, like Vanitas investigating Monsteropolis because of the scream energy and how that could play into the Orginization's plan, most of the time, the Disney worlds are completely pointless in the bigger picture, at least KH2 had revisits to previous worlds that made more sense, like fighting Xaldin in Beast's Castle because he's manipulating Beast.
@@haanis5458 I can totally get that. For me, Re;Mind just added enough meat on the bones of KH3 through what it added, like more story, new abilities, Yoroza, Critical Mode and the ability to disable Attraction Flow, that i would call it pretty great.
Bro how you gonna put Re:CoM over 3 💀 Nah fr tho I get why so many people were disappointed in 3 but I genuinely think it's great and way over hated smh
