PAY ATTENTION: The rappers are "snitching" but these guys are "giving pertinent information"... colorism, racism, nepotism, etc... This guy has an authoritative/charismatic demeanor, you actually feel like he is "providing information..." these themes remain consistent on the inside and outside. Great and insightful video though... Vlad is journalistically smart asf.
The biggest difference guys like him and rappers is most of those guys only give information on cases that have went to court somebody did time for it and mostly only implicate those who did time for the case whereas rappers talk about unsolved crimes and give details to those crimes most of the time
Actually, what I’ve seen from many, not all but many of the people who spend this long in prison, they had a lot of time to kill so they read a lot of books and some got an academic education inside so it’s actually not that surprising seeing old timers coming out of prison sounding like the caricature of the old wise man you see in movies

The principles he went in with? The dude is a snitch and a notorious pathological liar. Every single story he tells about being a big tough guy hero is easily debunked BS, and he's the only person that you will ever see that says he's this great guy. The only story he tells all the time that's true, is the one where he laid on the knife when the dude tried to stab him, and that was just purely to keep himself out of the hole.

Uh he still looks it now, lol. It's always the calm, cool, collected unassuming types you have to look out for. Someone mentioned this dude looks dressed for a Jurassic Park tour which is true, and I'm pretty sure this is the guy you follow to get out of the park still alive by the end of the movie. Just his vibe.
What does it tell you about street gangs, when prison gangs are way more orchestrated and disciplined? Its easier to kill ppl in prison because you're close quarters, but you still don't see them shanking mad people every day like you see shootings on the street. That should tell these young boys, they need the OGs and some discipline if their goal is to actually make money on the street.
Prison gangs are way more powerful than street gangs; in some states, the street gangs ultimately answer to the prison gangs… If you’re in that life, prison is a very real possibility, and prison gangs (in some states not all) control the prisons… It’s hard to fuck with an organization where the shot callers are on 24/7 lockdown and can still get you whacked within a few days 💯

If you watch the AB GANGLAND episode you will see Michael Thompson while he was in prison. He revealed on the show how he cooperated with law enforcement and gave them all the info they needed to crack the AB ways inside prison. So when he said that the law doesn’t really know half what they think they do, because of halfway gangsters giving info.... I would definitely he spoke on himself. I wouldn’t take away any of his prison story’s or toughness but he still is a informant. Look it up yourself

He did. Then he was used by law enforcement to tempt leading gang members away from gangs on the promise of this and that. He ended up doing 30 years after he snitched. Sounds like they used him pretty bad. Even though he talks about not being dominated and used by others and that.

Mr. Thompson, I can relate to you, I was captured myself and spent most of my life in prison. I was guilty, my sin is that I killed my sister's rapist, I didn't want to, but what is there is. not to mention that I was a prisoner of war in the 90s. many people see sensation from lives lived in extremes. it hurts me that I missed many days under the sun, I didn't get to build my corner now that I'm a free man. but some days I have peace. that's enough for me for now. I have a lot of questions for you Mr. Thompson. may the creator grant you peace and well-being, you deserve it.

On the East Coast that would be the DC blacks and the BGF on the West Coast. In the California prison system the black inmates are completely disorganized compared to the Mexicans and the whites.
