Every routine we choose to learn has something to teach us.
Don’t stop thinking too soon.
The deepest lessons come during performance.
Our greatest teacher is our audience.

Am watching from Kenya. Michael Vincent is a master at his craft. His class and fluidity in magic is always good to watch and how he appreciates the history of magic is fantastic.

Thank you kindly sir for being a thorough gentleman and a wonderful performer. A modern day Roger Moore, and a beautiful champion. Thank you again

Ronn Elle to be compared to Sir Roger is the highest praise. The Saint and 007, two iconic characters I love. Sir Roger was classy and charming personified. Thank you.

I became aware of Darwin through Michael talking about him. I became aware of a lot of masters because of Michael talking about them.❤️ Before I got any of Darwin’s books I watched a lecture he gave at Penquin. After his performance and listening to him talk and discuss things I said one day I want to be a master just like that. I like the idea of the Magic mind. I haven’t been in magic as long as some but already my magic mind is not only developing but I’m wondering if anyone knows how to turn it off for a bit? 😀 It’s always on and thinking-rethinking. Wonderful video but I’m afraid it cut short before the performance. ❤️

Your specialization on the focus for mastery is excellent and really my reason for being in these comments and journies-and I so wish-to a degree that I could have been you to have intimately known those people you’ve known. Truly the Prime Time Masters in the magic-Extraordinaries!

It is pleasing to hear you say these things. I have often felt that magic isn’t really an art until it is reacted to. The fooling moment and the moments of wonder are the magic. In painting the picture is the art and it makes people feel various things. In music the notes are the art and it makes people feel various things. But in magic just before people have various feelings in response there is the moment of wonder, curiosity...that sudden sense of the impossible. That is the art not just the mechanics not even just the performance but the “interaction moment” Not sure if that reads clear but it is what your episode made me think of❣️

Speaking as an audience member myself, a spectator, what I enjoy the most is when the magic tricks have an actual plot line, a story line. Great example of this is Cups and Balls as performed by the Lady Suzanne. Each occurrence in her routine is part of a BUDDHISM story, how the characters in the story each gradually attain spiritual enlightenment-- and each of these stages are METAPHORICALLY represented by the respective magic effects. How she interweaves each stage of the story with the cups and balls evokes such a MOOD that it makes me feel I'm watching it inside a Tibetan monastery. It's a wonderful feeling. My point is that the good magic shows have an actual story line just like a book or film. At least that's what gives me the greatest entertainment as a spectator.

I absolutely love you, Michael and the last guy said it right.. we are lucky to have you.. your hands are off the charts incredible and I hope to one day have that dexterity you've perfected... I only have one question and as a performer I hate to ask, but what do you say to the guy who, in the middle of the beautiful story telling, says 'what did you just do there?' Or 'why shuffle like that?'.. that sort of thing... anyway, love and look up to you so much brother.. peace, love, and magic 🤙

Michael /// ill bet you already know this /// between 1974-1979, many many greats, who were young then, including Darwin, Hung out, on Saturday’s, at Tannens magic shop. Which used to be on broadway in Times Square New York /- Michael, we’re you ever there on Saturday’s ? I ask because it’s very very unusual that you were able to connect with so many greats. All I can think of is so many of them actually hung out there in Saturday’s. /// ????

Joe Schroeder joe, I know about the vibrant New York scene you describe. I was in my early teens around this time. I made my first trip to NYC in 1982. I met everyone at the Jubilee Tannens held upstate New York. I didn’t meet Darwin until 2003.

Watching one of your last videos I thought just that.... : Michael Vincent is the Wynton Marsalis of card magic, ... or Wynton Marsalis is the Michael Vincent of trumpet playing...
