Magician Michael Vincent appearing on New Faces of '87 on 25th September 1987 under his original stage name 'Louis'. From The MagicWeek Video Archive www.magicweek.c...
I first watched Michael when he performed for the Penn & Teller show , and then enjoyed his performance at magic castle, and finally this video, It Is pretty amazing to see Michael come so far in pursuit of magic and still hold the personality back then. Michael is one of my favorites, and here's hoping to Michael to stay healthy and classy for the newer generations to be able to watch his great performance.
Fascinating to see Michael Vincent so early in his career. The two women judges just didn't get it at all. Ken Dodd was right - he's now one of the best card technicians in the world and his presentation is second to none.
Ya, looking at this compared to his Magic Castle performances, all the elements are there, but he has since refined them to such a degree; I'm not astonished by the slight of hand, I am dazzled by the elegance and ease.
How come I've never seen this before. Michael was absolutely amazing. The middle judge totally understood he's in the presence of greatness. James bond isn't as cool as Michael. Silk isn't as smooth as Michael. I mean this is top notch performance you cold perform at the highest level amongst royalty and heads of states.
Steve Urkel's cooler brother. Seriously though, it's amazing to see this guy at an earlier age. Even then you can see how much he took his craft seriously.
