This was wonderfully put together! Thanks for the memories! Donny was my first crush and Michael was my favorite performer. Both gorgeous, talented guys!
@@bettywallace3375 I don't know how the Osmonds were copycats when they started before the Jackson 5. Joe Jackson told his children to study the Osmonds
I think Michael was a gorgeous child and young man and I wish he had just kept his good looks rather than destroying his handsome face. Donnie was gorgeous, too, just in a different way. They were both talented singers.
Michael never mentioned about Donny Osmond in any of his interviews when he got into being the greatest entertainer.......oh they still had communicated ?
No contest, I mean Michael is a two time music hall of famer with the Jackson 5 and as a solo artist and he's the biggest and brightest of all super stars of yesterday and today. There will never be a super star of his caliber again. There will never be another Michael Jackson!
I'm not putting Donnie down,But he was no competition for Michael,Michael had outstanding performances and He is the King 👑 of Pop and the song "one bad apple was originally written for The Jackson Five,But Barry Gordy turned it down,The Jackson Five actually paved the way for young kids groups,I like both the groups and used to enjoy them when the came out on TV back in the days growing up.R.i.P. MJ,King 👑 of Pop 💕👑💕🌹💕
Looking back at this, I wish that Donny and Michael became close friends and relied on each other. Perhaps Donny's career would have taken a 'cooler' turn and perhaps Michael would still be here with us today...
Maybe you're not keeping up, but Donny has been involved in so much and been going strong for 60 years. Michael dealt with numerous problems & unfortunately died too soon. Think what you want, but Donny has lived a clean, healthy, happy lifestyle with no scandals. Sometimes a strong family and faith will overcome fame and money.
When it came to dance moves j5 got it when it came to entertainment the Osmonds got it only thing was different was Donny voice got deep couldn't hit those notes Michael voices change but can hit those notes Michael kept revolving as a teenager 74 dancing machine went to cbs they revolve as the Jackson Osmonds Donny and Marie show was good but it kill off the Osmonds brother s as a group starting out Osmonds brothers they was killing it in the70s then disco came in hurt there style of music but the Jacksons took over the charts this wasin77 78 all the way into the 80s
You would think Micheal and Donnie would grow to be best friends considering they both were in the spotlight their entire life. Only One can dream. love them both. I can tell Donnie wanted to be friends with Micheal, Micheal is just a hard shell to break.
They may not have been best friends but they did remain in contact and were still friends till the end :) Donny mentioned talking to Michael on the phone one last time not long before his passing.
You sound like you know that they weren't friends... they are acting in this clip. Donny tells a story about how after this show, they drove around eating tacos
@@brendalg4 I am a big fan of micheal. But Micheal had a big reputation of creating friends and ditching them. Well it isnt that he ditches them he is bad a commiment even ay a friendship level. I am the same way and its something I am trying to change in my life. But man micheal was terrible at friendships. If you look up anyone who knew micheal , they would say they were friends for a little while then stop talking. Micheal was just terrible at friendship commitment. It gets terrible as we get older but I am just saying. It has nothing to do with donnie but micheal could not stick with one friend. Liz Taylor was his best friend and even Liz couldnt keep track of micheal
@@anthonygordon9483 Michael called Donny shortly before he passed away. He told Donny he was in hiding. Donny invited Michael and his children to stay at his house. Michael never took him up on it. There are videos on RU-vid of Donny telling the story.
A what great musician families in those days both Donny and Michael the same age with the same numbers in their families.and started out singing near the same age.sadly Michael has passed away r.i p.michel.id say Donny being a true friend thinks about him every day and misses him .🙏godbless you Donny id say Michael knows that .Your a good person.love this video 👍✌🌻👋🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊for michael🌹🌹🌹🌹
Most of Americans didn’t tune in to see the Osmonds. But most tuned in to see the Jackson 5. Michael won a Grammy for the song “Ben” and he was still in the group with the same writers.
Except for those 100 million records the Osmonds sold, many in the states; and the #1 One Bad Apple. And the 7 years on the popular Andy Williams Show in the 1960s : D
@@JourneyWithJana : The Osmonds was a flash in the pants with one hit single. Stop trying to revised that time period. So typical of your type......BORN HATERS.
The Donny & Marie Show was a huge hit TV Show. So was the Osmonds Cartoon,Donny's run as Joseph and the Amazing Technical Color Dream Coat, Donny&Marie's Los Vegas residency and now Donny's.
and yet MJ is still more relevant than donnie ever was despite his passing. the fact that you had to bring up someone’s death to bring up someone else is odd.
@@madkap2428 i’m not triggered, just find it weird how you’re using his death to prove something but Michael still outsells and outstreams donnie from the grave 😊 just like old times
@@madkap2428 MJ did live to see it though lol. Donnie will die one day knowing he never reached MJ’s level of success so the drag isn’t really dragging
Body language is *_everything!_* Michael, barely looks at Donny. While Donny, is fixed on Mike. 😂 Beyond that... One went onto to be one of the T3, greatest popular music, global phenom ( Elvis Presley & The Beatles being the other two ). & one of the greatest pop songwriters. & the greatest, pop dancer / showman / singer. The other went out of fashion, by the time disco blew up 1978.
@@johnpacino007 Donny and Marie also had success in Broadway musicals, Las Vegas and Branson. Best of all, they stayed close to their family, which gave them the stability that Jackson clearly never had.
I don’t agree, they were on parr at that time, but both carried on to be brilliant performers in their own right. It would be boring to have identical artists like some performers today.
