Channel 5 presented an Osmonds' day in the late 90s. Here is their respective of America's most talented musical family. I do not own or intend to profit from this video.
I just stumbled upon this video, nicely done. I'm 61 and have been a fan for 50+ years now. I was more familiar with their earlier stuff along with the Donny & Marie era, but these last couple years (thanks to RU-vid) I have really become familiar with the Crazy Horses era. Wow!!! These guys could rock. At the end of this video when they broke into "He ain't heavy", well dang, this 61 year old dude got rather teary eyed. Something about the brotherly harmonies from these guys takes me to a very unique place. Thanks for the time and effort to put this together.....
Love this family. I am so sorry that their childhoods were sacrificed. That their personal lives suffered, even as they brought joy to millions of others...well, it brings mixed emotions. Thank you, Osmond family for sharing your talents with us. May you take some solace in knowing that there are so many of us who still cherish these memories your music gave us. Love you all.
If you want to be a singer or a movie star you have to give everything up and work very hard to say on top . The Osmond's parents did a great job with their family . Because of their love and Christian faith they kept their children together and their children turned out great .
Sitting here with tears running down my face and practically sobbing.😪 I just love them so much it hurts. I wish I could go back and experience the seventies seeing them again! So happy I got to see them back then!❤
I am 51 years old and hearing that song and music made me ball like a kid. I miss the innocence, beauty, contentment and fun we had back then. Everyday was fun in some way and we all looked forward to what we had coming tomorrow. Such a nightmare life in 2022
He ain't heavy he's my brother is very special to me lost my younger brother suddenly and listening to Merrill sing this always pulls at my heart strings
Every time I hear them sing this song: He ain't heavy he's my brother. It reminds me of my big brother. He passed away from cancer on a Christmas Day. Jesus got one of the best birthday presents ever. I love and miss you every day ♥️🕊️. I will always love the Osmond family. God bless you and your family’s
Thank you for posting this. I was one of the 15 yr olds in 1975 💗 I remember my brother saying then in a couple of years no one will remember them! I'm now 62 and my brother 70 we still smile about his comment he made in the 70's. Loved them then, now and forever 💗
Check out 'Family Values' on my channel. It was only shown once in the UK. It ends when the brothers were at their lowest ebb before their phenomenal comeback. It is quite heart-breaking.
I just have to marvel. What a family of talent, tenacity and true values. Loved them then and love them today in 2024. Don't know the collective IQ of this family but I imagine it's high on the chart! That Wayne, whew! But all of them, too. Much ❤ and respect!
As always, I seem to stumble into really fun memories. This was an endearing presentation that made me smile and remember what lucky youngsters we were to grow up with authentic musicians and such wonderful role models. I was fortunate growing up in Southern California. I was at Zuma beach on a horribly bad weather day and ran into all five Osmonds in their coordinated tuxedos (and only their film crew) recording for the Donny and Marie show. I got to watch them perform and spoke to each one separately while getting autographs and glowing with glee. Marie visited my junior high in Sepulveda with one of her friends and we got to talk, as well. Crazy, but true. Life gives us some incredibly good moments. Thank you for posting this.
58 years old and still proud Osmonds fan. I was 8 when my family and I went to see the Osmonds at the UT- Chattanooga's Chamberlain Football field in 1972. Bo Donaldson and the Heywoods opened for the Osmonds.
Ageless…will always love them…Anything about them I watch…Marie is the most beautiful performer…The ultimate Teen idols…I will always love them soooooo
Jimmy Osmond went on to do reality TV shows. He did Celebrity MasterChef, I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here, Celebrity Come Dine With Me and From Pop Star To Opera Star.
I was 6 in 71.i remember watching them and eyeing up😍Donny and staring at the tv 😃😃i turned round my nanny was in stitches i was so embarrassed 😮my nan said shes in love i was mortavied.😖😂
Yea. That's another thing I've always loved about England All y'all that have such great taste ♥︎ Wesley Brothers Whitfield, Spurgeon that's another few reasons ♥︎ Thanks, Britts !
This was such a good video. Brings back so many great memories of our youth. I love that the Osmonds were such a loving family and so wholesome throughout all their years. Love them all!
That was great! Hope we all are worthy to escape the wrath to come and i hope to see the Osmonds as brothers signing up there, with the angels and the Great I Am.
the osmond had a sound like rock and pop and soul that what made them stood out they when donny made hey girls it was like soul rnb and that was good for the group they can sing any song and sound good
Still love them all after all this time. One Bad apple was only on the charts 5 weeks as number 1. I'm the same age as Jay but I've always liked Donny and I'm seeing him in Vegas next week. Other sodas have cafffeine in it too. Donny sure was a good looking guy and still is.
I was 14-17 when Osmondmania hit America. But I remember Mrs. Osmond who had her own article in the Osmond Magazine. She never pushed their religion but was very clear that we should all be the best people we could be even in the hardest of situations! But my mom said the same things! Like take time to be kids! Don't worry about dating being in love we should wait until we're older. Be happy being young! But she and the Osmond Bros. Reinforced the high ethical morals my parents worked hard instilling in me and my siblings. But I also had many friends who were Mormon. I lived in the guidelines of my parents who came from Catholic, Protestant, Methodist other's...? I was a happy Teenager because of the help of the Osmond's and my parents!
I remember about twenty years ago one of the PBS affiliates in my region aired a long segment about The Osmonds appearing on _The Andy Williams Show_ back in the early to mid 60s. I'd had always thought their music careers started with _One Bad Apple_ and had no idea that these tapes existed. I've always admired their talents and their ability to stay true to themselves and their family. I don't think I've ever heard anything bad about The Osmonds.
I was called Mrs Osmond in grade school and high school. When Donny wed Debbie I was teased. I didn't mind because I love Donny, The Osmonds, Marie and Jimmy.
Just imagine what those women were doing, there in that small auditorium, singing a song to the men who years ago they idolized while they (the then boys and young men) were singing to them. It's almost surreal to think about. It's amazing. And that the Osmonds would participate in that event is yet another tribute to them. What a fantastic example of so many good things.
That’s terrible that place started selling tickets at midnight when they were people waiting for the correct time which I guess was the next morning, and the people that were first in line didn’t get in because they fell asleep. I was lucky that my boyfriend(husband)took me to concerts that turned out to be safe
Donnie Osmond was the best, but so was everyone else in the family. It was sad that the brothers were seemingly jealous of Donnie, but that wasn’t entirely his fault. Everyone was great and everyone was talented. Was glad they figured it out and became a great singing group again until theyhad to retire. I just love them for what they’ve done all of their lives and appreciate their retirement also and hope they continue and get healthy and live long life.

They were all very musical. Their faith sure helped them. Good Lord. My friend at 11 was always talking about Donny. I don't get the mania. I also try to avoid crazy crowds. I look at him now and think. Uh wow they were mental, the girls, not the Osmonds.

I know they played the audience just like Michael Jackson did. But they had to be very careful that the audience and fans didn’t grab them so tight to bring them into the crowd where it would be dangerous and Michael Jackson did that also. They were all wonderful.
I regret it because it took their dreams away. They wanted to be a serious rock band. There's a heartbreaking interview with Wayne. It's a shame they never got to live there dreams
Had the security been just slightly worse at these gigs the Osmonds would have been the first to be overrun and possibly trampled to death by batallions of 12 year old girls.
Donny thinks he's Joseph, has he been to prison for 14 years falsely? Was he beaten up by his brothers? Does he have the gift of interpretation of dreams? Is he second to the present of the US? Donnys kidding.!!!
