@@aleynanoel5959 Yep and it's actually waaaaay overpriced. Michael's puts a crazy high price tag on their items so they can turn around and put it on sale every week. It's a gimmick.
No kidding. Some of it I could take apart or give away (I would love those bells) but a lot is totally useless to me. Granted if you can find even one item you like it’s probably worth it. Who couldn’t use that bin from the first box?
I'm obsessed with watching these as well as the "shop with me" style videos. I'm in the West of Ireland so it's not like I could run out & pick up any of the items I see, none the less I'm fascinated 🤔
I like how the first comment is "these are pretty nice boxes!" referring to the quality of the actual unopened cardboard containers. This is such a crafter way to think--"Oh awesome, I can reuse the box!"
The slowness is what stresses me out. I put it on double-speed right away, but it was still far too slow-moving. I tried moving it up to x4, but x2 is the fastest setting RU-vid has.
Considering you spent $36 for all of those boxes and the tree skirt you wanted was $50... you basically got a discounted tree skirt and all the other stuff is just a massive bonus from a resale point of view. Very good indeed!
In my town you have to be there the moment they hit the floor because they are gone within 60 seconds at the most. And where I am they are placed in large plastic bags, not boxes.
I haven't seen them either! Perhaps it depends where you live. We don't see a lot of leftover Christmas stuff in CA, and if we do it's because it's broken...smh
I purchased the last 4 boxes from my Michaels. I got 260 dollars worth of pine cones. Just pine cones. I have over thirty pine trees in my yard. I hid them from my husband. Lol. Now I’m making pine cone wreaths and arrangements. God must have known I’d really enjoy making these!
I’ll take the “cat tshirt”. Auntie, you don’t have a cat! 😂. Congrats on the lovely tree skirt. I like those galvanized pails too. You did pretty well for yourself.
I use those green hooks for twist ties to make bows they bend really easy. Keep them with your craft stuff you will be surprised how many times they come in handy
last year at Michaels they gave us gray big Michael bags and we would fill the bags with Christmas items ourselves we stuffed them expensive items it was a new store people didn't visit much so lots of stuff was available
I’m so annoyed, I got three boxes, and I hardly got any cute Christmas stuff, and like 20 packs of tiny gift bags, and the same kids pillows, slime kit and kids stationary. So disappointing 😩
I am so Happy for you, I got one box and its was nothing like yours, I got several bags of pinecones, one flower garland, makeup brusher and window clings.
So many great items so thrilled you got the Christmas tree skirt. It is perfect with your tree and ornaments! I am hoping my Michaels brings some out I will call first.
Those dog ornaments had 4 different designs, adorable dog sippy cup,way to go. Such a variety in each box. Tree skirt made you so happy, hurrah. Year round Buffalo ck treat bags, big red ribbon-Valentines. Pastel ribbons-Easter. Orange- ribbons tie off Halloween. What fun surprises.
You keep saying the retail price, but none of those items actually sell for that. I was there last year the first day they were putting out Christmas items, and there were 40% off signs all over them already. I have never been there without "sales" happening.
So she’s supposed to try to figure out what it MAY have actually been on sale for?? Seriously? Is that what you would do? It makes more sense to just read what the manufacturer suggests; not try to confuse people with possible sales. And those sales jump around from category to category. Not all Christmas will be 40% off the entire season.
People do pay full retail price. 🤷 Crazy, yes, but there are those impatient ones. I know that Christmas stuff started going out in our store in October, I think, and it went on and off sale for a while, then pretty much stayed 40% or 50% off until after Christmas. (Michaels employee here)
Great deals....First question WHERE DO YOU LIVE?? Where I live we have NEVER had the $4 grab bags or $4 grab boxes. So envious. Another youtuber got 4 boxes wherever she lives and inside were like 5 things and all were defected and broken and chipped. YOU HAVE A GREAT STORE. I live in Southern California.....if you live in N.Y. ....I could jump on a plane to get the FABULOUS things you got..ha ha ha. Take care from Debbie and Dexter-Dog.
I got 3 of the tiny 6 piece ornaments, a talking Jewish grandmother stuffed toy, and an invitation kit that had been used and returned with missing parts and reduced quantities. My toddler loves the grandma bubbe though.
If you need ideas for all that garland.... my family takes an old wire coat hanger, pads it out a bit by scrunching, winding and taping/tying store plastic grocery bags around the wire until it's about half to an inch thick, then winding the garland over top starting on one side of the hook and continuing until you reach the other side of the hook, securing the end, then tying a big bow with wide ribbon to hide the hook. It's generally hung on a nail, piece of twine or wall hook. They make a great gift for exchanges, churches, teachers, and /or last minute gifts that can't be food. They're also something kids can help make that's essentially mess free.
These have to be some of the nicest grab boxes I’ve seen from Michaels. You were very lucky cause I’ve seen some pretty sad ones in the past. I loved that Santa pillow! Has to be my favorite item.
I’m very very happy to see the company do this! I’ll be calling around to my local stores to see if they’ll be doing this in our area this year. I used to work for the company and we used to complain to them about how wasteful they were when it came to throwing away perfectly good items after seasons were through. We asked if they would consider donating it to charity’s and at the time they said no. So this is great! At least someone can use the items👍🏼👍🏼
You can make a wreath with all of those cupcake liners just search it on RU-vid. Also all those ornaments are cute to incorporate on presents for wrapping. I think you got a really good deal!!
Every once in awhile I see these mystery boxes on RU-vid. I'm not really ba crafter or anything like thai but I enjoy watching these unboxings. They are definitely worth 4 bucks weather you are a crafty or not , I think. The basket alone is worth it in the first box
Wondering if you tallied up the retail cost for the haul versus what you invested originally? Was hoping for a total at the end. Wish our store did the big boxes ,once and a while they do plastic bags .
Hello Auntie Coo Coo. I'm new to your channel. I didn't know Michaels had these grab bags. For all the people saying you didn't get a good deal, I tend to disagree. You got an amazing deal with the amount of money you paid. It's so exciting just watching you opening all the boxes and seeing all the goodies inside. Love it!!!
I'm not suggesting this for myself, but lots there for giveaways. Donations to teachers, your church, neighbors, friends & family there. The worst box was the one some employee decided to throw way too many ornament hooks into. The other boxes had a good variety. Happy you scored the tree skirt you wanted. thanks
(As an employee) these are great grab bags, some stores will not put that much product in it in order to be able to make more bags. Fun tip: the boxes will have more product if the current holiday didn’t sell as much on the shelves. So if you’re looking for Valentine’s Day and notice the displays are sparse a week or so before grab bags go up, you most likely won’t get anything from that collection.
So exciting! I love the tree skirt, I bought 10 grab bags and actually got 3 tree skirts!!! The burlap ones! Love grab bags, thanks for sharing with us!
Love those black & white treat bags, I got three!! Oh my you got the tree skirt I wanted! Mine had a white one with silver around the edge. I’ll be on the hunt again next year, lol
Thanks for sharing.. great deal..lots of great🛍 items..like the little 🌲 tree, pillows, baskets, stamps. Micheals is 40mins from my place..😔 have amazing blessed nite
WOW! I wish we had a Michael's close by. You got so many wonderful goodies! I love that garland! would be so much fun for crafting. i have used the gold garland for decorating and crafts for new year's party. the bottle trees a great find as well.
I now live in France so have no Michaels near me. I also now live in a small apartment and wouldn’t know where to store all of the things! That said, LOVED to see all the festive things! Thanks for sharing.
You inspired us to go to our Michael’s and look for these. Thought it would be fun to get one and see what we got. I called ahead on our drive over and they said they had them. They were all open and every box was completely full of pinecones and nothing else! Oh well 😊
Oh my gosh you are the lucky one the minute I saw that red and white tree skirt I thought of your bells on your mantle and your ornaments and I think I got as excited as you did I love when a good deal has a big bonuses so happy for you
