I'm nearly 35 and I love TMNT but only in their darker more serious incarnations. 4Kids series, Mirage, IDW, first 2 movies and I love the old arcade games.
I'm 41band still love the turtles. My favorite has always been Michelangelo. I love his carefree fun loving kind caring personality. He reminds me of myself in some ways. I thought Donatello would be my favorite since my favorite color is purple. I have loved the tmnt since the 80s.
Maybe not to the same extent, but I am a collector of things from Doctor Who. Doesn't mean I'm not also into Harry Potter, Anime, comic books, music and lots of other stuff. I hate when people assume I'm just into Doctor Who because they see how big my collection is and I'm like, well, I'd like to collect everything from everything I like but you know, I'm broke.
wow i'm so happy i found you here where i live tmnt wasn't really that popular, but we did have the 2003 series season 1 and 2 :D i love anime's, cartoons but TMNT has earned a special place in my heart :) it's so cool, when i watch your videos i feel that i'm next to you, only that i'm not saying a thing xD hope you'll never stop making videos, you're my TMNT friend :)
Wow, now that I think about it. I don't remember when I became a fan. I always just kind of grew up with it. I must've been 5 or 6 watching the cartoons and having friends with the toy figures. We had the Burger King VHS of "Sky Turtles" and I always loved how it had the 1990 film trailer at the end. Even as kid, I always loved the dark tone of that movie.
I've been a fan of the Ninja Turtles as a kid but I grew up with the 2003 series of course since I was born in 2001 obviously but I eventually started liking the older ones and was liking the 2012 series as well but unfortunately it's cancelled and replaced by another Ninja Turtles series but I still like it though!
I watched the premiere back in 1987 with my brother when I was 6 and was HOOKED. I thought Donnie was awesome right out of the gate and Leo a close second.

There's a lot of females who love TMNT. In the 90s the online communities were mostly females. It's never really a boy or girl thing. Glad you found my real channel. Check out episode 40 for a Behind the Scenes look at the Fred Willard thing.
I'm not going to focus only on the collection, in fact I'm avoiding that at first. I'll be starting off more with some reviews and such. I do have people asking me to show the collection on here. I just think that there's more to the fandom than collecting and I want to show that there will be more than that here. Though every blog will have a different set up to match the topic at hand, for those who want to see the collection.

I had a friend in school who was the only person I knew that was obsessed with ninja turtles… he used to yell out “god I love being a turtle” then all these years later I see this girl.
@JerseyChileno Every fan is a fan and is always welcomed in the fandom no matter the age or when they became a fan. We don't count against anyone, since fandom is about sharing what we enjoy with everyone. Truthfully one of the reasons I work so hard to keep the TMNT alive is so that younger generations can share the joy that we got from the TMNT back when I was a kid. So of course we can except you. Hope you enjoy the blogs here! :)

I am a fan of Michele's since i saw her on Fanatic. She seems so fun and down to earth really someone i would hang out with. What she does for the Turtle fans is amazing.Forget Venus Michele is the fifth lady Turtle!!!!!
@TurtleGirlIvey I wished I can go back in time and warned myself back then. If RU-vid allowed longer comments the stories I would tell about each thing I had. But your vids and the stuff in the background bring back so many kick ass memories. While I don't collect the toys anymore I make sure to at least get a DVD or a comic. I have a Playstation Network account and I rarely buy games unless they're dirt cheap or free but once Turtles in Time remake came out for the PS3 I brought it quick.

I'm 15 years old. But my parents raised me in the 80's if that makes sense. I grew up watching re-runs of TMNT, GI Joe, Thunder Cats, etc. that my brother taped off TV. I've always been a fan of the Turtles and all ways will be. So I feel like I'm apart of a generation when I'm supposed to be apart of another. I wish I grew up in the 80's but I hope die hard Turtle fans like yourself can except me even if I was born in the 90's.
@superjushin Thanks for sharing with us here. There is a lot of fans out there, not all of us are very vocal about our fandoms but there is a few others who let themselves be known. Some idiot made a video making fun of you based on that MTV video. I got really annoyed that the other RU-vidr and all of the commenters think that they are better than you. However, one of the comments explained a bit more about you and your museum and your channel, so I decided to come get and check it out. Thanks for being such an awesome TMNT fan. I am a fan of them as well. I actually started a bit before you as I was introduced to them from the original comic series. I loved how graphic Eastman and Laird made it. I was immediately hooked. Still being a child, I really wished for TMNT toys but there was no such thing yet. So I made paper dolls of them. I even used pins on the joints so they were articulated. A few years later, I heard about an up coming cartoon. I was a bit taken back by the sheer comic feel of it. But there was a huge upside - THEY MADE REAL TOYS! From there on, the cartoon grew on me and the when I went to the theatre to watch the live action movie, I went nuts!!! They basically took the story from the graphic novel, and made a movie out of it. It was back to being dark and awesome. Anyways, fast forward to today. I’m 41 now and I allow myself 2 childhood indulgences - Transformers and TMNT Toys. Anyways. Thank you for sharing!

The people commenting on that video alone, don’t know me to be able to make fun of me. ;). So don’t let their comments upset ya. Michele Ivey I’m really impressed with your attitude. Especially, in today’s society, it seems people are more easily offended that ever. Keep up the great work. Just a question - have you seen both the NECA 1/4 Shredder and the smaller SDCC version? If so, is the larger one better? I’m asking because I bought all of the 1/4 Turtles and when I got my hands on the 6” ones, I found that there was no real reason for the larger ones as the small ones were so close. With the “bad guys”, the smaller Shredder wasn’t that impressive. The face looks.....wrong. I’m wondering if the larger one has any major improvements?
@JConner26 It's Turtles in Time Reshelled, they had it for us to play on the Turtle bus that went across country in 2009. Lots of fun. I have not done a video about the new stuff from Nick bout our website has done two write ups. Cowabunga Corner, link on my channel, we got one about the new look, then a write up about the weapon changes that was shown in the new video. Both of those stories were written last weekend.
I never seen TMNT before. Recently i've been listening to the songs from the Series. My favorites so far are the Original theme,1994 Theme and the 2003 Theme.

my uncle got me into the tmnt he showed me the Comics. one day i saw them in television and noticed that the TV series had the same Name as the Comics and gave it a watch
Im a big turtles fan also became a fan watching the cartoon everyday after school, and i remember playing the arcade game at my local arcade and pizza hut,i actually didnt have many of the toys but i did have most of the video games for the nes, snes and sega genisis. Im actually gettin ready to open up a retro pizza and arcade so you know i will feature the original arcade game. mikey is my fav and we have pizza once or twice a week lol
Funny my obsession with the turtles started with an action figure too. And in 1989. I was 5years old and was playing with my neighbors action figures. For some reason his Leonardo figure intrigued me and he had 2 of them so he gave me it. I realized that I needed the other 3 turtles so I hounded my mom till she bought me them. Then I found a VHS with 2 episodes in a store so my mom got it for me and I was hooked. I started watching the show, buying all the figures, t-shirts, posters everything ninja turtle related. Then the 1990 movie was announced and wow do I remember the hype around that! Seeing it in a packed theater with tons of cheering kids was awesome. Raphael was my favorite turtle. Oh and I loved the TMNT cereal! I remember it came with a green "ooze " That was actually some kind of gooey syrup with food coloring that you poured over the cereal lol. Unfortunately about a year after the 2nd movie a lot of kids started losing interest and it was no longer cool to be considered a TMNT fan.( in my school) The 3rd movie kind of killed it for me too. But despite that the turtles still have a big place in my heart. They played a major role in my childhood and I'm glad I was a kid during the "turtle mania " era 88-92ish. Definitely admire your commitment for the turtles and not giving a damn about what others think!
@JConner26 Yes it's a hard thing to notice with the chucks, though on my website I do have a picture taken from that very video of the chucks as normal chucks right before the blades come out. That was something I discovered and was really happy about. I don't hold my breath for any of the news as I just ride with it as they release the stuff. I do think both San D and NYC Comic Con are going to be big news breakers for the new series at least... but the movie news may be next year.
I've told this story so much, even have written journals from back in the day. It's not stuff I can forget. For some odd reason I seem to remember a lot of events from my life like it was yesterday... better with event details than names of people I meet half the time.
@Andres256 It's very easy to do a blog, video tape yourself.. hook it up to the computer you can do some edits in a program like Windows Movie Maker or any better one you might be able to find, and uploading to youtube is very simple. Just click the upload button and follow their directions. I do recommend it, blogs are a lot of fun and people do enjoy hearing others insights. :)

I was reading the 4Kids book series and I thought Raphael would be my favorite, I hadn't found my favorite turtle until I saw the first episode of Season 3 I liked Michelangelo
been a turtle fan for like….. 9 years.. and i have no friends who also are tmnt fans so i just- always look for content on it. I became a turtle fan because well i was going through a rough spot in my young life, my best and only friend has confessed their desires for me to end my life, and a lot of issues with my father. I watched 2k12 when it came out but i wasn’t super duper interested because of the episode “shellacne” that scared me (same thing happened with the cat episode from SU) but because in life i was alone and sad i watched 2k12 a lot more. i watched many YT videos on it when the episodes weren’t airing. i recorded over my dads recordings once and so i had to be punctual so i never do that again… then, i watched an episode from the ‘03 series from YT and i fell in love with that one too, i watched the 07 movie and i watched the early 80’s shows/movies while starting from more advanced visuals i wasn’t impressed, i read the comics from the first ones to the bit more recent ones. i felt connected to the turtles. an outcast to society and when i watched them i forgot about the kids who would push me to the ground and kick my stuff, or my dad calling me names and making me cry.
How did I came into TMNT... its hard to say because it was 1992/3 when they popt up on austrian TV (we got the Hero Turtles Version) and I was 5 years old around that time. All I can remember was that I had almost all Toys of the Turtles and most of the Merchandise released along with them. My Mom told me a story a few months back that I used to play in the Garden - jumping around with a Stick (Don was my Fav.) and always asking my Parents if a Shell has already grown on my back ^_^
I wish my video game collection was big compared to your TMNT collection. I was born in 1999 so I never grew up with the TMNT (especially when my parents only saw spanish channels because there mexicans) , I saw one movie when I was 14 but I was not interested. I'm 17 now and staring my last year of high school and plan to become a cop but no matter how much I grow I will allways love cartoons.
I liked your video! I am from latin america and i knew the turtles thanks to the old toon. Years alter and by accident, i discovered the oriignal comics books. Mirage is my favorite version now, although i like to watch the other versions. I´ll keep an eye on your videos!
I find it creative and interesting about how you are sharing your story. I’m also pretty obsessed with the turtles, not sure it can be fully explained. As an artist, I always liked their names; it lead me into researching renaissance artwork back then when I was a 7 year old dude drawing and painting back in 1987. I still collect odd merch now, and occasionally paint turtles and scenes, mostly from the 1987 series. I identified with Mike (being a Mike myself), and have always shared his passion for pizza. @JConner26 With Cowabunga Corner I try to give a little bit of everything when it comes to TMNT. And we even have the website where we go over some stuff, on the website there's two write ups from last week with the current TMNT stuff. I'm really sorry to hear about your collection getting lost by movers, someone else I know is going through that right now. I have moved once since I became a TMNT fan, but never hired movers so my collection was moved safely by my family and I.
@TurtleGirlIvey I'm going to swing by your blog..As for Mikey new weapon if you played played Ninja Gaiden Sigma II it has that weapon and it's pretty bad ass that was the third most weapon I used in that game. If not the hero in the movie "Ninja Assassin" used it a lot and it look pretty cool in action.Here's hoping Nick give out more detail around comic con, usually the really big news goes down there.
LOL That's cool. I did watch one of his blogs to see what you were talking about. :) Where he was showing some video games. Though it's fun, I do like the idea of showing some of the other stuff I have. Mainly the home video of things the Words & Pictures Museum, Turtle Parties, and conventions I've been to. I've got over 70 topics written out that I'd like to bring up on here, a few of them is about collection pieces. So I will have some on here. I do put stuff on collector quest website.

When I first watched TMNT I thought I was going to like Leo too! (blue was/is my favorite color) But I found a real kinship with Raphael. My older sister is Leo to a t. Even at a young age I just had this passion/anger and I just felt really alone and different; because no one else had that problem. But then I "met" Raph. Somebody like me. He was angry and rough, but a good soul. He made me feel like it was ok to be me.
I'm not surprised about VH1 or other reality shows skewing something/someone to look "crazy" because in entertainment crazy sells and normalcy doesn't. Reality TV, if you even want to call it "real", is basically the new source for craziness similar to how talk shows were back in the 80s & 90s.
@groovythedog Yes, he can be seen in "Cowabunga Corner" 40 near the beginning as I do a show of some of my collectibles that were on display when VH1 came to my house. Still need to get one in package, though saving my money for other things right now.
@TurtleGirlIvey I didn't know that about Mike's chucks, from the pics and that quick preview vid it look like the kusari gama I know that bit of information should make the traditionalist happy.As for Comic Con I hope to hear more about the movie but since that's getting pushed back I'm only expecting to hear news on the show. I think it's interesting a production studio that deals with remakes of horror flicks are doing something like this. I did like TCM and the Friday 13th remake.
@JConner26 I just found it interesting in the video to see that Mike's weapon was really chucks with a pop out blade, unlike the kusarigama that he's holding in that drawing. Same with Donatello's bo staff having the pop out blade at the end of the bo. Though it's not new for the Turtles weapons to be toyed with here or there. So should be interesting to see where things go. Also waiting to see what comes from San D Con. Wish I could go this year.
