I think at some point, Piers had what alcoholics call (to quote Pulp Fiction) a moment of clarity, in that briefly he saw how ridiculous and pathetic his line of questioning was and tried to shout and bully himself out of it.
How would that help him? Piers wants him rolling in the mud on tv like an infant. He handled it perfectly in my opinion. He answered honestly "I thought it was funny" and just kept the focus on how ludicrous and absurd the question was. The mans a pro.
Mick Lynch is correct in absolutely everything he says. Yes strikes are disruptive, but what shall we do as workers, take less and less when the lucky few just get richer and richer, somewhere and sometime we have to stand up for ourselves and other workers should know this. Something I asked someone critical of the strikes - Do they support sanctions against russia? Both unfairly target the working classes, people who can't do anything about those in power but according to the media - sanctions work, strikes don't. I'm sick of the media toeing the party line.

Whether you agree with strikes or not, whether you support unions or not, no-one can deny Lynch's absolute talent for winding up these journalists, MPs and TV presenters by just being honest and forthright in what he says and telling it like it is, rather than the usual merry-go-round of scripted soundbites and other nonsense. Remember Piers looked dumb here, but it was a clever-ish ruse, talk about his Facebook profile rather than the issues, see if you can get him angry to claim the union is just a bunch of angry people. Although that bit back fired as piers seemed more angry. The other advantage is now the only clip is this, not talking about that 7% is still a pay cut in real terms, how a strike was the last option etc. It's about a Facebook profile.
