as sad as it might seem I don't think he will ever reach his dads greatness in the slightest. I think If Michael was still able to teach Mick it maybe would've been a different story but it sadly isn't. I do hope Mick returns to F1 in at least a midfield car. I def think he would've done better if he wasn't in a Haas.

@FaceFish9 Teams weren't exactly queuing up to sign him. He's decent but no better, been plenty of drivers similar that lost their seats and didn't return. His future won't be with Mercedes, doubt very much they will fight to keep him if he gets offer from lower team.

At S5 he overcame fear of crashing the car. That is really huge considering his Dad died from a crash. Wasn't easy at all. Great efforts Mick. Admirable!

He's not good enough. First chance he gets at a driver elsewhere and Mercedes will let him go, Toto took him to keep him in the paddock and trying to do the right thing for Michael, it's not really about getting a seat at Mercedes.

@briangiven7399 Teams know when a driver is doing a decent job in a bad car. Haas didn't want Mick and Ferrari didn't seem like they wanted to keep him as a reserve. It's the dream of fans of his father that keep talking Mick up, if he had a different surname they would be saying he had his chance.

You understand it was the car that his father drove. His father, Michael Schumacher, was a legend in the sport and unfortunately had a skiing accident that rendered him a ghost of who he used to be. So yes it’s wholesome.
