@@richs4358 I think it depends on how you word it and approach the angle. As far as Drake being Famous, that’s my point. Not much we don’t already know or heard already. I rather niggas say they didn’t like it because it ain’t have no “tea” then to be like ahh it was mid cause I heard that before. Just be real with it lol
@@yungchill6 that’s why pusha T’s Adidon diss hit so hard, it was new info. Kendrick is considered to be too talented of a writer to come with what he did. The flows were cool, but beyond that was lazy writing
They’re always flipping the same angles. In different ways. Taylor made was trash 🚮 pushups was cool a club banger I guess… but kdot lit him up in the first round im sorry to the Drake Stans but kdot got first round. And that AI is corny in battle rap period what is we talkin bout 😂😂😂
Bruh I'm sitting here like damn just bc some of us ain't feeling this track doesn't mean we're hating on Dot. Niggas is such stans nowadays that if you don't think what they think then something is wrong with you 🤦🏿♂️
I got into battle rap late but the bias for Drake is crazy. I understand how great it was that Drake actually put money into battle rap events and whatnot but it's hard to imagine gritty and violent battle rappers like Tay Roc, Twork, K-Shine, etc. having Drake as they favorite rapper. That's like finding out your favorite horror movie director is a Nickelodeon fan
Wtf does that have to do with Drake vs Dot? Just bc niggas aint feeling Dots approach don't mean it's hate yall be hella weird when it comes to opinions.
You gotta remember the internet is stupid ! If Drake would’ve used tupacs & snoops actual styles, the internet would’ve said that Drake didn’t write it himself . I think he used his cadence in their voices for “identification” purposes . It’s easily digestible for the casual listener that it’s actually Drakes raps with a voice changer . Not an Ai “creating” these verses
It's a lack of talent. If you want to embody an emcee really do it, ie. Mickey factz or wraith, or black thought on I'm every mc. Stop jacking any a.i.. They are trying to take the soul out the music and completely hijack the culture.
Exactly bro they over here trying to grade it on battle rap standards like battle rappers ain’t in real time dropping diss tracks and they are not amazing so they gotta kill that then they want to bring up ol diss tracks like the bridge is over was great for its time but if we going to grade it on lyricism let’s be real now that’s the problem with 3 argument
The Mickey D fellow must have a very bad taste in music maybe that's why I'm hearing about him for the first time. I enjoyed the Crooked I interview more.
These "old heads" have never seen a friendly/competitive mainstream rap battle. It's like they can't comprehend the lack of disrespect, violent threats and low blows.
Mickey low key pro drake, u see how he had to think when he compared cass and drake record, but was quick to say cass joint better than k dot’s, Drake musta dropped a mean bag off on the east coast
Why do people only take this route when its someone big ups Drake? Is everyone suppose to be on Kendrick's dick just because he's "seen" as the "boogeyman?" I don't get it. Niggas just have opinions. Any poll before this battle took off would've had Kendrick winning.
@@JustFollowingOrders12 yes it’s okay to have opinions, but I’m judging the little subtle things that Mickey is doing…..I’m not a conspiracy theorist, I’m being sarcastic on the “drop off a mean bag” part
@dwillwilliams1240 NO you're in your feelings bc he doesn't look at Dots record the same way you do let's keep it a buck bro. I'm looking at what he's saying as he's being generous by not telling yall the 100% truth bc yall would call him all kinds of names if he kept it a bean for real. Niggas hella sensitive nowadays when it comes to their favorites lol.
Last time I caught Hip Hop Goosebumps was when Pusha T dropped Exodus 23:1, Infrared, the shot to the Torso with The Story of Adidon and when The Lox destroyed Dipset in Verzuz
It's a couple things that I think are getting conflated and misunderstood especially with the idea of "reused lines" Pusha T mentioned: 1The fact that he was hiding a child and who had a child with. 2.Talked about Drake's blackness as a black man aesthetically. And flat out says that he's not really trying to look like one. 3. Pusha T mentioned his financial situation Kendrick mentioned! 1. Drake cosplaying the black aesthetic by standing next to Urban people to get that acceptance not just aesthetically but holistically 2. He used that financial line to rebuttal the splits any further expands on that later in the song 3. He talks about Drake being a dad but not an actual father that pours into his child because he has none of those core values himself. Even if the angle is similar it's specifically different how Kendrick walled up this go around that separates the two even were talking to Drake.
@@Unplugged1234show me another diss track that's as bar heavy as Wrath. I'll wait. Royce went from saying he's the greatest and he kills emcees to hiding from Mickey so how was it average? FOH
@@nickgoodlock263for real though! Everybody was talking about that track when it was released. There was nothing average about it. Well written, barely a wasted bar, good beat.
I wanna say “Mickey stfu you ain’t nice enough in rap to say you just liked Kendrick’s diss to drake” but he is definitely nice enough to say what’s good and what’s mid😂🤷🏾♂️
"I wanna hear some drums" ??? Yall biggas aint listenin to the music at all. Yall nitpicking and tryna step on it. Unfortunately yall cant, this will go down as a classic!
I wanna know what metrics are we supposed to use to judge a diss track? If you repeat something it’s bad, if you fabricate something, then you’re lying. Everybody seems to have there own rules to this shit
I think the East coast still mad about that Control Verse a decade ago…. lol 😂 Kendrick ain’t gonna get love from that side and he basically said that which is showing to be TRUE…. Salute 🫡 Kendrick do ya thing Crodie
Kendrick def had more layers on his diss record. "Got a Benjamin and a Jackson all in my house like I’m Joe, Okay" Could be a triple or even quadruple entendre. Like Jay said "It's just different" lol
I find Mickey's opinion as a ghostwriter on Taylor Made interesting as he's known for writing in other rappers' styles. Personally, I thought the Taylor Made record was EXTREMELY off-putting hearing 2pac and Snoop's voices using Drake's flow. It was cringe AF.
Both are hypocritical. Mickey used the same angle Lupe did to diss Royce and they hyped it up without saying Mickey reused angles. Smh. Definition of bias.
This a J Cole and Drake diss heavy!!! The gun is “first person shooter” and Drake son is J Cole and he parked his son (Parkinson's)(J Cole quit). Hate when rappers talk about {GUNS} and somebody die, they turn into nuns](J.Cole apology was bc of backlash to Kendrick) [They must have forgot what they done] (Dementia) [He faking for likes and digital hugs] (J.Cole) “Pray for my city”(Dreamville) “His Daddy a killer, He wants to be Jr”🤓….The shivering at the very end is mocking cold world….It’s more too!!!!This is🤢😈🤣💀😵💫🔥🤝
3 Letterman where is the Cassidy diss track to Eazy Da Block Captain at? How you said you and Cass cool but you didn’t do a reaction or bar breakdown on it but you did these others ones? This seem fishy to me like if you for Hip Hop and how you don’t cover the Cassidy Eazy Come Eazy go diss track when everybody says it’s 🔥. Did Eazy pay you to not talk about it ? You do media on battle rap and diss tracks on others but Not Cassidy Eazy diss track 🤨🤨🧐🧐🧐🧐🤦🏽♂️💯💯💯
🤣🤣🤣ARP just snapped on 3 because he do stuff like this like because 3 think something trash now he dont understand when someone like it an ARP wasn't goin for that at all 🤣🤣🤣
These dudes being disingenuous as hell. Kendrick's diss record was alot more disrespectful than Drake's track. Kendrick spoke to Drake soul and stripped down his whole superstar character while also trolling. All Drake said about Kendrick was he short , has small feet and he split money with Top Dawg. All of a sudden battle records need tea??! One of the greatest rapper beefs of all time Beanie Sigel vs Jadakiss had no tea it was all lyrical and disrespect. Except for Takeover that whole Rocafella vs Nas beef had little to no tea just emcees being lyrical and disrespecting each other with wordplay and punchlines. All of a sudden now Kendrick track ain't it for tea? Y'all lost me man.....
I’m very disappointed with this review. The first part was dope because it’s cerebral and brilliant. He disarmed Drake and took away from his diss. Then he went in and to be honest the diss wasn’t weak at all. Also nobody listens to wraith mickey! You ain’t him fam🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️
Crooked i said it best....most of this guys wants a feature or want to be buddy buddy with drake so they will say anything just to be on the good side of him. It's always your own people. They praise the corny guy who doesn’t write his own raps but shit on the conscious rapper who does write his songs and raps? Hiphop is dead.
Oh well this beef and IF anything I would expect the west to be like oh ok lil nigga we see you ready for war. The west mainly Cali is gang land they should be the least sensitive imo.
I enjoyed this conversation, but didn't agree with everything, But I was like hold up? 🤔🤔🤔 If Mickey say its a 3 1/2 mic verse, what shit he got better than this? I got questions (Common Mos Def voice)
@@muhfkajones he apologized waaaay after, drake used dmx sample, Drake reached out to used the sample, that’s how they squashed the beef, it wasn’t dmx reaching out or no shit like that
New York is taking a L on this one. J Cole use a size reference in false prophets. Jay-Z use publishing reference on take over. Drake recycle and use references. Yall let ppl use the same JC dancing angles. Corny
Lol... I know music is subjective and everybody is entitled to their own opinions , etc.... But the more I hear these euphoria reaction videos, the more It's clear there's a lot of stuff in that song That people just have no understanding or context of ... Kendrick definitely goes in... But honestly even myself, there's a lot of things that went over my head The first few listens ... After some breakdowns and finding out the context of a lot of stuff he was saying, it made sense and the wordplay was crazy .... It's like it's a blatant warning and he's speaking directly one-on-one to Drake ....but on a public record... It's deeper than most average listenes know.... and Of course, those of us from the older generation are not going to rock much with it.. because we're used to a different style of battle, raps and flows , so I get that part of it... But when you understand context and know a little bit more behind the scene stuff ...Kendrick definitely went in . Definitely some stuff out there that Drake wouldn't want to get out
Ay 3 and Mickey i understood exactly what yall are saying when critiquing this record. I think its mid and doesn't even warrant a response if im being honest 🤷🏿♂️ I appreciate yall breaking it down and giving yalls true sentiments and not just jumping on the bandwagon. Yea the stans are up in arms over yalls take but so what. People gotta understand everything isnt hate and people hear music totally different. Is it a good record sonically yes, is it a good diss track no and theres nothing wrong with that take 💯
It's actually a very good diss track fam. Ppl are going at the "recycled angles" as a reason to call it mid, without looking at the scope of the track, and the fact that it has great schemes and set-ups. Drake has already been in a very public beef before this, there isn't SUPPOSED to be a bunch of new info. Did Dot out rap him? Did Dot show more versatility? Did Dot speak with veracity? These are also considerations to make.
Hey Mickey, Drake also used the inter scope/ innascope, but u never mentioned that……battle rappers have used that before and I believe Game used it too, but okay
You didn't watch the 1st time he came up and talked about that diss huh? He said that already my dude 😂 Yall looking for any reason to go at him bc he's not drooling over this Dot song and it's showing in the comments. Yall got yall capes ready to block anything yall think is hate when it's just niggas giving they honest opinion 🤦🏿♂️
Why can’t people have their own opinion. Everyone doesn’t have to agree with you. Euphoria was cool, but I was expecting more. Here we have this narrative built about Kendrick being an elite MC, real MC ears perk up at that kind of praise. Kendrick didn’t live up to that. That diss isn’t even top 15.
No matter how anyone feels mentally your subconscious mind puts drake as Floyd mayweather so any contender gotta devastate can just fight a good fight and get the belt any draw drake wins because hes more active
I couldn’t get why he made that mistake of saying Joel Osteen…I get it now. He said idk who he is battling ghost(writers) or AI, he don’t know and he basically confused the names on purpose like he just don’t know, white people from white people that’s why he said “ funny” then made the movie references. Very satire and Very intentional. --- The I hate …that was an Ode to DMX. Plus that sound clip can be played heavy on the radio and in the clubs. Ya not acknowledging that.
@@SageTrader007 who doesn't check that when releasing a diss track, and when you're as big as Kdot, and as good with the pen, you don't make mistakes like that, you double check over and over, how hard is it to look up the name. Nah. Can't make mistakes like that on a diss track. With the layers to that bar he would have made sure that it landed, which is dependent on getting the name right. He obviously knows about AI / Sixth sense, so he also knows the actor. Or if he didnt know the movies, he googled them, and then also sees the actor name.
Funny when battle rappers talk abt timing for industry artists but r KNOWN for battling and been complaining abt not having enough prep time 😅 what we talkin abt? Mickey really acting like he wins battles and a multi platinum selling artist 😂 “it was good. I like it”. Same guy got washed by DNA
I'm really surprised by 3's take on this... i normally respect his opinion, and everyone is entitled to their view, but i think he getting this really wrong
IF THIS WAS EARLY 2000 WE WOULD HAVE SAID THIS THIS DOT DISS WAS BORDERLINE TRASHHHHHHH BRUH WHAT ARE WE DOING 3 🤣 Bruh 🤦🏿♂️Just bc we're fans of someone doesn't mean we should baby them. If Nas would have dropped some mid after take over niggas would have got on his helmet something nasty. I swear the whole time listening to Joes pod this morning i was just like ish was while they were glazing this song. Its crazy yall think Drake has to respond to this mid pack 😂 I'm glad Mase and Gillie kept it a bean about this record. Im more disappointed than anything and then to watch so many people gas it makes it worse 💯
Newsflash, HE CNT WRITE like pac or snoop!!! Nd if he such a great writer, why do other people write for him?? I have the upmost respect for both of yal, but it feels like yal dnt keep it 100 on drake. If yu ain’t listened to drake disaes since they dropped, how good was it fr?
