@@theidiotbox9056 the m4 carbine became a thing when the military adopted the m16a2 in the late 80s. In Vietnam, we used the Colt 605 and XM117e2 which were both based on the m16a1.

The magic of the original short was that you expected a meme but from the first frame you were hooked on an incredibly compelling war drama with original characters disguised as beloved Disney characters. This is just the studio taking advantage of exploitive nostalgia and using traditional voice actors for the role. Honestly its a testament to how little these big companies care about the artistic integrity of the work they produce.
