Thank you for your comment! I agree with everything you said. I keep seeing these interviews popping out of nowhere with members of the cast bad mouthing Mickey and it's so unfair, it sounds as if they didn't even watch the show. It makes me really angry and i don't get why it's so hard for them to understand why the fans love Mickey. I mean, that boy went through hell and back. It's hard not to love a character who had so much development and got hurt and dumped because of it. Also it's impossible not to love an actor like Noel Fisher, he could read a grocery list and his little facial expressions and passion would probably make me cry. He deserves so much better than this show. Anyway! sorry for ranting. i just love this character so damn much.

What pisses me off is the way the writers left him behind bars. I am sure they want to get him back to the story but now it is very difficult. The only way I can think of is he needs to escape from the prison which will make his life even harder lol. I just really don't see a happy ending for him. But deep in my heart hoping Ian and Mickey can at least run off together if the writers need to wrap up Gallavich story before getting cancelled or whatever.

If you review their whole relationship Ian was really the bigger dick to Mickey then the other way around but most of his dickishness was a result of being manic. And I still really want them to be together.

Which is sexual abuse and manipulation. Ian also hit Mickey in that second dugout scene and called him slurs that his abuser called him. Mickey hit him back but that could easily be labeled as a fight/flight response from a trigger from the words (that's a bit of reach) or self defense. Also when Ian broke up with Mickey he just stood by and watched him get shot at??? What the fuck? Okay.

He's more lying to himself since I don't think Ian's ex boyfriend even cross the minds of his current boyfriends of ian doesn't bring it up. And when ian forced mickey to come out, it wasn't out of malice. And the result was beautiful. Mickey started to become more honest with himself as a result of coming out, even if it wasn't on his terms. I don't believe that ian is a bad person. I think that, just like mickey, he's trying to figure shit out. I don't think either of them are bad people as much as I think they just do bad things. And behind anything you do, what matters is intent- what's the context? Neither of them have done wrong to each other with malicious reasons behind it.

No, but they are really trying to make it like Mickey was like that. I don't watch the show anymore but I saw a clip of Fiona and Ian talking about Mickey like he wasnt good for Ian. And he really was if Ian hadn't been so against taking his medicine until after he broke with his Mickey... for caring.

Unconditional love. Hard work for the giver when in a romantic relationship. Should only be parent to child. But it is what someone like Ian needs. Someone who forgives way too easily. Our beautiful Mickey is so strong, taking all the hurt. I wish someone would have taken up the Mickey in Mexico plot and he could have found someone else who didn't cause him so much pain. I don't blame Ian for what happened whilst they were together. Both of them are damaged and hurt each other. Not being familiar with bipolar , I don't know how much behavior can be controlled. It is what happened when they were apart which forever blackened Ian for me. The writers were so clumsy in the way they moved Ian on from Mickey. They didn't know if Noel would return so they had to do something but let Ian grieve. All they did was make Ian cold. John Wells has a belief that no character is irreplaceable. It was the same in ER which had deteriorated greatly by the end. I had the luxury of binging Shameless in 2021. I knew nothing of Gallavich or Mickey but if I hadn't have googled and discovered that Mickey would return, I would have likely stopped after S5. I would love to know the viewer numbers real time and how they were affected by Mickey's exit. He really was the best. I liked s10-11 because Mickey was there. Forgave some of the character assassination just to have him back.
