The scene when they’re in the strip club and Ian leans in to kiss mickey and he moves away but then he looks around realises that it’s ok to do that there. It makes me cry lmao
There were a lot of Mickey scenes that made me cry (like when he had to leave Ian at the Mexico border 😭). He loved Ian with his whole heart. His story definitely tugged at the heart strings.
@@canyoubelieve2167 I JUST CRY A LOT THE SHAMELESS SERIES WAS SUPPOSED TO BE FUNNY AND AT TIMES IT WAS BUT IT MADE ME CRY SO MUCH LIKE IN S1 WHEN DEBS HAD TO LEAVE 'Aunt Ginger' BACK AT THE REST HOME OR S2 WHEN AUNT GINGERS FRIEND DIED
There's lots of controversy these days about straight actors playing gay characters. As a gay dude, I don't have a problem. People should be hired because of their talent and their "fit" for a role. I couldn't imagine anyone else doing a better job than these two straight guys.
It was definitely all about chemistry. Two heterosexual actors playing a heterosexual couple aren't necessarily going to be convincing. Chemistry and trust is what sold it.
I still find when he bites ian so funny at the end of the scene its like he doesn't know whether to be angry at Ian hitting him or getting turned on lol
I think it shows his development from being afraid to admit to himself that he’s gay to being able to wear the clothing he likes and being able to act the way he wants and be with Ian and letting everyone know he is with Ian, it’s kind of the physical parallel to him finally accepting himself?? Idk maybe I’m stupid
it’s absolutely insane how jealous he gets, you’d never expect someone like mickey to be the protective one, like with the way he was raised you’d think he’d be emotionally uninvested
Hmm I think it fits. Mickey is pretty manipulative and emotionally abusive to Ian and he gets mad at him a lot. Mickey's father also beats him up a lot too so they both share anger issues. Their relationship is actually super toxic but that's what makes their relationship so good. Their chemistry and tension is just A+
Mickey never had a evil or wicked bone in his body he loved Ian with all his heart he even came out to his dad his dad wasn't happy about it but he still stayed with Ian and Even got married
Right like that's very relatable if you had a rough life and then the one thing that was supposed to be good isn't, it's a whole new level of disappointment
they are hating on ian they say he didnt love mickeyenough like he loves micky so fckn much mickey shows it better cuz hes not bipolar but i think ian loves him sm
@@isidordhrami9020 ian didn't love mickey, he just liked to be loved. and it's not about being bipolar, it's about being characterless. selfish, liar, lack of empathy, ungrateful, self- centered. mickey deserved so much better than him.
@@insansizhavasahasiii I think it was more that Mickey loved as an adult very early on, whereas Ian's love was childlike and romantic and didn't start really developing into selfless adult love until season 11. For Ian, that change comes with maturity. After all he is Monica's son. IMO if the show was to end after season 7, Mickey could totally do better and Ian wasn't worthy of his love.
@@insansizhavasahasiii rather than that, I’d say their story is very complex since the beginning. During early seasons, even tho they fell for each other, Mickey couldn’t admit it cuz of his homophobic reality. During this period, Ian (who used to be softer), suffered a lot )not saying Mick didnt too), but I mean, Mick said real heavy things and even kicked him in the face one moment. These traumas built up to Ian’s insecurity, having the married as the trigger for his Bipolar disorder to pop. It’s pretty clear that after that Mick really started to show how much he loved and needed Ian, but it wouldn’t just make Ian go back to what he once were, he had become insecure, colder and was having bipolar swings, but even then I don’t think Ian didn’t love Mickey, but he changed his way. When Mickey was leaving to Mexico, we know that if Cam were to leave the series like Noel, Ian would have left with Mickey, but since that wasnt the case, Ian had to stay, but even then, can we really blame Ian for wanting a better life than being a wanted fugitive in mexico? But not once I think Ian forgot Mickey, not before and not after. The way the looked at each other didn’t lie. For seasons 9, 10 and 11 they both loved each other more than anything in my opinion, both of theirs characters having changed a lot since the beginning, but in the they could show more of Ian’s affection. Like, the deleted scene of Ian’s dream showing him and Mickey holding a baby or tending for Mickey’s wound.
He fell SO HARD for Ian. The way this man can tell a story without words is phenomenal. I don’t know why he isn’t drowning in acting awards and jobs. 💙💙
@@tutifruity1154 u should probably know that i'm not straight and alot of the girls that i fw at school they are shy and they are bottoms and the ones who are badass and out there are tops so u can see where i'm coming from and if u don't then idk what to tell ya
Vinnie J Um as a gay person, its pretty well known that the lgbt community has jokes about tops and bottoms. My friends always make jokes about bottoms being “pussies” and “soft”, its something that many lgbt members do. Get off your high horse mate, people can joke around, you sound like a bottom
I love how when he married Svetlana he had no hand in the wedding itself, this time around he wants to do it right and he wants it his way. XD they are just chairs Mickey. :)
but on their wedding day you realized he wanted the golden ones because the lights would shine off of them and make things look more magical. with black chairs, the lights wouldn't bounce off right. he thought of every little detail.
Actually kinda depressed that shameless is ending, I wanna see more of Ian and Mickey because of how far they have come. Maybe a shameless 2 when they are adults with kids and how they handle it
Finn Rose yeah it’s ending next season! Maybe it’s for the best? I feel It has been getting better though, I really enjoyed season 10. I think it would be interesting to see their relationship develop more Though!
There aren't enough human words to express how much I love Mickey and Noel. Mickey should be the standard of character development while still maintaining a edge and humor and required to watch by all upcoming writers and actors. ❤
mickey: loves ian and only ian so much and will never love anyone else and confesses how much he loves ian a lot also mickey: yeah no i’m not gay though
I'm sorry, but Mickey going off on the elderly florist is one of the funniest moments in television history, IMO😂 When he says he's gonna come back and carve/burn his initials in her gums (amongst other things) was so funny. Violent and disturbing...but funny. *Actually, Mickey turning into a Bridezilla was completely hysterical 🤣
He's so tiny and cute and violent and Ian is always there to hold him back and he's my favorite And also the fact that they turned him into Bridezilla (or Groomzilla in this case I guess) is literally perfect. I love his wedding planning processes
“If love can be called a mistake...” OMFG! 0:30 I HAVE NEVER NOTICED THAT! 👀👀👀 Mickeys eyes were freaking out looking at Ian. I’ve seen that episode a dozen times and never put 2 and 2 together! I mean, we always knew he caught feelings early on.
Remember how Mickey used to have grime on his face and filthy shirts and then ended up being a super Groomzilla and got them matching suits? I always loved Mickey the most.
