@@racheleddy1172 tami is the best option for lip ,a lot of people who hate tami are single and they never been into a reletionship it's normal that tami hates the south side is not the best place to grow your kid ,in my opinion tami is the best choice for lip because she is real
One of the cutest Shameless scenes is the one where they think Sammi's dead. Mickey is so chilled, and Debbie is so freaked out... And then Mickey's reaction when he sees Frank
this sounds weird but bc he comes back clean in season 2, i think it was probably juvie that cleaned him up- and also season 2 is a summer season, more reason to shower to keep cool!
This is why Mickey’s the superior love interest. They actually give him scenes with plenty of the other Gallaghers that don’t feel TOO insulting( in the annoying way, anyway; like where you just think ‘ c’mon ‘ ) and he kinda seems to care.
Kayleigh Wilson lmaoo when you say that all i can think about is the scene in s7 where ian comes in with trevor and lip goes “so you got rid of the guy with the lady parts?” haha i’ve never cringed so hard in my life. but you’re right- all the scenes with trevor and caleb just seemed so forced and they seemed out of place, maybe it’s because neither of them were southside like the milkovichs and gallaghers. idk.
I think it’s pretty obvious Mickey cares about them all quite a bit. He’s probably got the biggest heart on this show lmao he’s just got his own ways about him
7:48 let's talk about how soft Mickey is with Frank in this scene... And not just this scene, when he was giving him amo in season 2 as well, or when Frank was giving him his homemade beer... I think he's that way with Frank cuz even if Frank's a lowlife, he's still better than Terry and accepted Mick and Ian for who they are and really just didn't give a shit.. I like how Mick sees that :')
i've always been so confused why they think he's bad for ian when this shows so clearly how much he cares :') plus, they know who he was raised by, it's no wonder he turned out the way he did- why couldn't fiona and lip cut him some slack?? love this video sm x
hattie welham they did cut him slack when he proved he cared about Ian. But you gotta remember that for a couple of seasons, Mickey treated Ian dirty af and *was* bad for him. And even when Ian was starting to turn his life around, Mickey came and made him a fugitive (even if it was short lived). We all know Mickey loves Ian, and they did too, but Mickey wasn’t good at showing it and was constantly making people question it. Even though Mickey loved Ian and Ian loved Mickey, they weren’t good for each other. They’ve both grown and matured over the seasons and can be good people alone and because of that, they are even better people together. Plus, he treated everyone else like shit, so of course they didnt think he was treating Ian any better 😂
Also, Lip actually did... I mean, in Season 5 when he and Fiona are going to pick up Ian from the Hospital, he says he thought that Mickey would be there. And even before that, he literally said to Mickey "You tried your best, Mickey. That's a lot more than most people would do." and this is *right after Mickey and his brothers basically tried to get him arrested because Mickey was upset with Ian...* He went to Mickey first (after Debbie and Carl) when he was looking for Ian in S4. Then in S10 he told Ian he should marry him, but only when he's ready to. It was only in like S3 (and earlier) that he ever really showed *any* sort of indication that he didn't approve, but even then he was actually pretty nice to him. They talked and were civil with each other, he helped Ian sneak out of the group home to switch with Mandy so that he could spend the night with Mickey (yes, he got something in return, that being Mandy being with him, but he still di it...) and he knew about them since season 1 and *never told anyone* because he knew Mickey couldn't come out. He only really said anything bad about Mickey around the time of his wedding to Svetlana, and that's because he was hurting Ian by going through with it. But other than that, he's never really been disapproving imo... And Fiona, she was a little worse than Lip, but not that much. She trusted him to take care of Ian in between S4&5, she never questioned why he was basically living with them in S4, and in 5x01 there's that scene at the end in the pool and Ian shows up and she immediately asks him where Mickey is. The only time she was really anywhere near disapproving was in the episode where she and Lip picked Ian up from the hospital and she said she didn't expect Mickey to be there. They've both actually showed a lot of signs of *not* hating Mickey, and actually liking him and approving. People just like to make out that they don't approve because of Mickey just so they can call them assholes for it and be protective of Mickey. And honestly, I wouldn't blame them for not approving, in the earlier seasons he wasn't very good for Ian.
Dazzlefae 2002 all very true.. but then after mickey leaves for mexico they seem to forget all of that which is what i don’t understand. i get that mickey is a fugitive, but they’re from the south side? and they KNOW mickey, and they know that he did what did for to sammy FOR ian- so why is fiona SO against mickey in season 7/8, and there is a deleted scene where lip tells ian that ‘he always went crazy when mickey was around’ which like- that’s so unfair to mickey lol. mickey helped ian when he was going thru manic episodes, as much as he could at least, and from what we seen on screen, much more than anyone else in the family.
hattie welham Lip saying Ian always went crazy around him, I didn’t take that as him thinking Mickey was bad for him. I think it was more, he knows how Ian feels about him and that love can make you do crazy things. They weren’t so much against Mickey as they were against Ian giving up everything he worked so hard for to run off with him. He needed stability, he finally had it, he had his Bipolar under control (save for the few times his meds went off balance, but he got them sorted quickly.) and had a good job and a boyfriend. They didn’t want him to give all that up and become a fugitive with Mickey. That’s how I took that.
mickey truly loved ian the whole time it seems he just never knew how to show it bc he never received proper love from anyone. he did it in the way he knew how, screwing over everyone who wronged ian. I think mickey and ian were meant to be. when ian was going threw the bipolar thing, mickey was really caring for him. giving him the meds, being the best for him, etc.
The way he stammers when they’re discussing Ian’s possible diagnosis, and telling them on no uncertain terms that they will take care of Ian, “He’s family.” He doesn’t just say he’ll look after Ian - he acknowledges the importance of the rest of Ian’s family, and becomes close with them. I think the Gallaghers are the kind of family the Milkovich kids always wanted.
6:25 "Don't fucking tell what's impossible. We're taking care of him here. You, me, us - his fucking family" Mickey loves Ian so much and he's fitting in the Gallagher family perfectly
11:36 I love the interactions between Mickey and Carl , he explaining to Mickey how bipolar people can act it's cute . And they kinda off treat each other like brothers " you werer nicer when you were asleep " it's how I say good morning to my brother 😂. Mickey and Debbie dynamic was fun to watch too , her advice about how he can't drink Ian away is powerful . Their mutual hate for Sammy was funny . And Mickey and Lip's relationship is amazing too , they argue all the time but both of them wants to protect Ian so they have kinda of a brotherly relation too , I love it.
2:28 Nooo they cut the best part when V says he’s the dirtiest white male she ever seened I cried hahah cause she had finally voiced something no one was saying
Frank’s signature has been faked since Fiona was like 4 years old, I’m sure he figured it out or Frank’s years of drug and alcohol abuse have rendered his handwriting so terribly that they’ll accept anything
I’m gonna be honest, the way Mickey gets frantic at the thought of Ian going away to get treatment is adorable, and the fact that he calls himself Ian’s family is so sweet
Mickey actually apologising to the Gallaghers is a key moment of his character development. Genuinely cant believe Ian told Caleb mickey was abusive >:'(
i loved the goddamn scene where he's like "hold up, wait right here" walks across the street to beat the fuck out of someone casually, comes back and continues the conversation like nothing happened
He is all rough with all them 😂 (with Lip and Sammi especially). I think this is why they though he wasn't good for Ian, but then he prove totaly the contrary I like the evolution of Mickey and Lip interactions so much lmao
Ik it's the bare minimum but, when he was leaving Sean's car and he picked up Liam and took him out that warmed my heart his relationship with Ian's siblings are honestly so heartwarming. His interactions with Frank are also very sweet. He has had so much character growth and I just can't help but love the character and always defend him. He is not his father at all and he genuinely loves Ian. Mickeys interactions with the Gallaghers are so heartwarming.
Okay, but think about the fact that their only interaction was in 1x03 and it was literally just Jimmy telling Mickey that Ian wasnt home in order to protect him from getting murdered. He wasnt surprised by the fact that Mickey was clearly calling to talk to Fiona, or that it was about Ian. He wasn't around when Mickey came out, or when everyone found out they were together. So why was he not surprised? I like to imagine him kinda walking in on them, but not saying a word and just walking right back out again and not telling anyone but always knowing. Like, sure, maybe he just went to the Kash 'n Grab while Mickey was working there or something, and knew they were friends. But I prefer my idea... Hahaha
artistic persona Yeah, but he wasn’t surprised by the fact that Mickey was calling Fiona about Ian is what I meant. 😂 He had to have found something out somehow. My idea was just a fun (and cute) little imagination thing that could’ve happened. 😂🤷♀️
1.31 Mickey bonding with his prospective father in law Frank over guns. Hes the prefect husband for Ian. Watching him interact and are involved with the Gallaghers problems ,shows how hes a huge part of the famiy Even before he married Ian.
I am surprised no one has said it, but Fiona and Mickey scenes are superior. I don't know what it is about the two together that brings me joy but I love them as a duo.
I actually love mikeys approach to caring for Ian. When I was sick as a kid the knives and meds were kept in a safe and my parents and family cared for me
Debbie so freaking out over the fact that they killed Sammi and Mickey is just like 👁👄👁 “ain’t it past his bedtime?” The fact that Mickey freaked out over seeing frank 💀💀
One of my fav interactions is in season 11 between franny and mickey at her birthday when she calls him uncle mickey like it was so weird to hear franny acknowledge him for some reason but its heartwarming to see him truly included in the family
Mickey: “Do you gotta a hacksaw?...don’t worry about it, gets too messy” Liam: *poking ‘dead’ body* Mickey: “Ain’t it past his bedtime?” Debby: “Liam no!” 19:15
I NEVER noticed Liam was poking her until this comment!!! 😂😂🤣🤣I literally ran it back like seven times after reading this and I mean I hit the fucking floor laughing omg!!!! #priceless #shameless I love being from Chicago lmfao
I love this vid and all the interactions. It makes me wanna cry while I’m laughing and smiling. I think the only thing that upsets me is the fact that Fiona, the woman who raised them and was there for them through all of their shit, wasn’t there for the wedding.
My fave scene is when Debbie is looking for the shiv and Ian goes "13 yrs old and she's bringing shivs to school" it reminds me of what parents would say to each other about their kid haha
the way Karen shakes her head and moves over knowing lip is getting his ass kicked for the Mandy comment. Like she tries to signal let’s run he doesn’t and she just gives up 🤣🤣🤣🤣 @0:40
yeah how tf is Sammi part of Gallagher's household????? She is one nutjob that I am like wtff!!!!!!! I am trying to remember why Sammi is part of the whole thing.....
I'm completely blown away with the acting.!!! I've watched a couple interviews given by Noel and Cameron and am so impressed with who they are.!!! ..... they are completely opposite to their characters.!!!! Hey guys ... never lose who you are.. .Good luck in future acting roles. All you guys in Shameless should have offers flying through your doors. Again .... unbelievable acting and superb writing.!!!
