It's funny, but the show predicted this happening. In one episode; Peter is called to a Will Reading because he was nice to a random old man. To receive their inheritance; everyone must stay the night. Too save the young woman; while the rest of the guest start disappearing, Mickey and Mike are together looking for everyone. Mickey claims how he's going to be the last Monkee, and starts singing the theme for only one person. "Here I come. Walking Down the street... and now, he is the last Monkee
I believe it was "Monsterous Monkee Mash" where all four were in a guestroom at the mansion and each one of them disappeared one-by-one. Davy, Peter, Mike and Micky.
When I was very little ,I told my mother I wanted a drum set like mickey's. This would have been in 1968 when the show had its last season. I have been a fan of The Monkeys for over a half century. They always seem to have the appeal of innocents and that feeling of just having a good time. They will always be in the hearts of fans, young and old.
I remember when the Monkees first appeared on national television...everyone liked them. They seemed to have a magnetic pull for fans...they were definitely a good bunch of guys with a great sound to match! Favorite song would have to be, "I'm A Believer." Thanks for the information, Facts Verse! 👍
It's a bummer. The time I saw them live, it was a free open-air concert. They had The Monkees, Leslie Gore, The Patriots, Chuck Berry, and a bunch of others. It took place in Rhode Island.
I wish I got to see Davy Jones and Peter Tork live. But I'm glad I got to see Micky Dolenz and Mike Nesmith live before we lost Mike. I was almost going to have the opportunity to meet Mike and Micky in person at the comic convention in Florida but it was canceled because of the lockdown of the pandemic.
I was thinking of the Monkees just last week & thought that Micky Dolenz is in the same situation as Barry Gibb. Both have out lived their Band Mates. It makes me sad to think about it, but they have both soldered on still making music. That’s a good thing. At 5:05 while talking about Micky Dolenz, an interview of Jack Nicholson, not Micky.
I love Micky and I love e The Monkees!! It is so wonderful that Micky is still Rockin and Rollin and keeps sharing his talents and The Monkees with all of us!! 🎶💞😎
I believe he was a high school classmate of Tom Selleck’s. At Van Nuys High. And you failed to elaborate on the Jack Nicholson clip you showed. But I believe he produced the movie, the weird movie, the Monkees did, Head.
I like souther country rock, blues, folk and blue grass videos! Like it when they are all jamming and feeding off each other. You can just see it on their faces how happy they are!!!
Mickey was my favorite Monkee! Me and my sister would watch their show on Saturday mornings we were seven and eight years old. Her favorite was Peter. I was definitely a “ Believer” 😉
The Monkees was my favorite band as a kid. My cousins & I would sing their songs, an of course do the famous into walk. Have no idea what we looked or sounded like, but it was fun.
