This is fantastic! Of course you can't do an ASL interpretation of a Disney parade by being dry and boring, but I love how they got in character with each segment and played off each other so well. Thanks for sharing!
Idk why I’m crying but I am omg. I know these people aren’t exactly making the big bucks but Disney cast members are legit some of the sweetest most amazing people in the world. Like they didn’t just sign, how easy would that have been, they made it fun and played in character and danced and they’re legit so awesome
Kathryn Norton Do you know truly what Disney truly "provides"? Honestly do some/a lot of research, and I wonder if you will still have the same response/feeling.
kevdong2311 working there is special because of all of you. seeing everyones smiles even in om the hottest of days makes my job so easy. no complaints. excited to get this parade back on the street this month!
In my ASL course we asked our professor ( who is Deaf, a very efficient strict teacher), to teach us to sign that. He struggled trying sign it just as bad as we do trying to pronounce it. 🤣😂 it was fun learning fun obscure words.
Love love love! My wife and I had ASL interpreters on our Disney Cruise. We also requested them for the Hoop-de-doo Review, and they were awesome! If you need ASL interpreters for your trip be sure to call Disney and request information on them. You can tell that the interpreters practice a lot to be so synchronized and know their parts. Truly a part of the Disney magic!
It’s so amazing to see this happening. I have single sided deafness but I could potentially go fully deaf. I understood what they were signing perfectly without having the audio on. It makes me happy knowing that Disney actually cares for their fans who are deaf. I definitely want to go one day and just experience the magic.
All I have to say is thank you for everyone that signs to the songs into it other people saying whatever one they all coming out now to speak is nice since I am deaf I don't have to worry about trying peoples lips I'm trying to put things? You or anything.
I think they don't wear them so to not distract when signing. Interpreters need plain shirts with nothing that may interfere with people seeing what they're signing.
They are absolutely incredible! This would be my dream job! Although I’m learning BSL not ASL 😂 I’m definitely going to try and check this out next time in in Disney! xxx
Best wishes to you. Disneyland no longer has Mickey's Soundsational Parade but you can catch other shows in ASL. Disneyland posts the schedule on their website. Just search under "sign language interpretation."
Ugh, that guy asking them for directions. Dude! Didn't you notice they were kind of busy? You might throw them off? They were awesome, handled it quickly, and moved right back into the rhythm though.
