Another MicroCade game from Worlds Smallest/Super Impulse! This time its the classic Tetris game! Nice version of Tetris in a convenient credit card sized package!
Any port of Tetris must play the original theme song for The Tetris Company to officially license it. That's why this version plays the theme song once through before switching to sound effects since the Arduboy architecture has limited sound capabilities.
Fun fact, Korobeiniki was originally not an in game track for Tetris, it was included as the title song for BPS Tetris for the Famicom but not one of the choices for in game, in fact it wasn't for any official NES hardware compatible version of Tetris til the version included on Retrobit's Go Retro Portable version surfaced in 2018. The track gained its association with Tetris because of the Gameboy version.... However even there it was not the original track for the game as it was in the early Japanese releases Minuet for the a-type music,
Tip: just leave the switch in the on position and it will keep your high scores. The unit goes to sleep after a few minutes so it doesn't drain the battery
Very cool! Tempting to buy this over the mini arcade version, but I think the Tiny Arcade version is cooler because of the casing and the sound effects. Great showcase!
Oh man I've been waiting for this since I read about it on reddit like 2 months ago. I just ordered from amazon!! Can't wait to play. How small and awesome it looks!
actually is a way to save your high score and yet you know one has found this out I own it two of these game cards the tetris one and immortal one all you have to do is yeah wait for it to turn off I have the air control one and it saved my spot many people say it has a they have a problem saving their progress swipe for the game card to turn off and then the progress is saved without using the battery cuz the screen is off and the motors and other items in the card turn off as well without needing switch
well if you dont care about scores, its great to pass the time with. could always write down scores like we had to in the old days with the early LED and VFD games :P
