Thanks John and Mrs W as well I enjoyed this film and the micro Bot so much that 5 minutes after, I found J&H Aerospace web and ordered one, Awesome!!! Please stay safe and best wishes from Alan in South Yorkshire 👍👍🤗🤗❤
FOUND IT!😁 JUST ORDERED ONE. 👍 I've been wanting this kit since I was a kid and now I think I found the coolest version I have ever seen! Thanks for making a Childhood dream come true Josh!
Superb as always Sir John! Nice demonstration of the speed range in this video. Last time out seemed gustier on the big hill and you kept the speed up then. I like the way you "waggle" the rudder to maintain position at times. Clever and effective.
Simply Just A Lovely Lil Glider! It's Such A Graceful Design & Flyer, I Own 2- Now, The 1.5M & The Old 3M w/Factory Spoilers Installed Special Edition! Thanks Mate
I wonder if that would be a good beginner or entry level glider for someone to build and fly. I think a lot of people would love to build and fly like you.
Very nice John. Looks like you built the larger rudder plan? I'm finishing up a Micro Gentle Lady and thinking about a Micro BoT for the near future. Cheers!
2:47 my favorite flight perspective, dual pirouettes! John this BOT seems a bit twitchy, would that be due to lightness of airframe, wind conditions or that you are slope flying a thermal purpose airframe? I have flown full sized BOT and she's gentle and flies " on the rails". Not criticizing your video in anyway, I'm just naturally courious all things sailplane oriented. Well done John, thanks for sharing!
The Bird of Time is probably a more efficient glider. You need a good bit of lift to get the Bee flying well. Both are fun gliders but bigger gliders always fly better.
@@SlopeRCGliders About size. It seems most small (slope) gliders are either well in the micro range (80-130grams), well the "normal" gliders are easily >350 grams. Are there any nice birds just below the new 250grams rule? Just wondering about how big you can fly without running into rules, permits and restrictions....
@@elmar2B I have a couple of really good light wind fliers that are sub 250g. My CLM pro Trotter is 1.5 meter span but still just under 250g. I also built a West Wing Amethyst which is well under the limit, but flies like a much bigger plane.
2 3.5 g servos 300mah lipo battery and a ORX R510v2 light 2.4 GHZ rx is the easiest and cheep way for that size although you can get small gear and lighter, costs more though
Give it go. It would probably work well. Plans for the full size Bird of Time are free to download off the Outerzone website. You can just print them out smaller to get the outline.
