Micro DNC on Mazak Controls 

I just finished installing this little DNC box on my Mazak-M plus controller, and it's working fantastic..!!! Thank you Mike for posting this video.

Thanks for this video Mike, it gave me the confidence to buy one of these units and solve the com's issue I had been having. Am now happily loading the eia/iso gcode straight from Fusion 360/hsm into my 1984 AJV25. It's a cheap piece of tech to enable 2018 usb convenience to interface easily with a 34 year old machine.

Excellent! To others that are "non-Mazak" users, this would seem to be trivial and and without merit; those of us that are Mazatrol users (Misubishi "Meldas" series especially) can appreciate a product such as this. Having wasted thousands of dollars over the years on different devises and software, just for the upload/download/DNC functionality, to only be met with disappointment; FINALLY something that actually WORKS! Honestly, I don't even know who these folks are that make the Micro-DNC; they're in Vietnam, I suppose? With that said, it is an EXCELLENT product for the minimal amount of both financial AND effort invested. The one we have was purchased on eBay for about $200. It is well constructed, has some very nice features, and best of all, it works exactly as advertised! I do apologize for the highly amateur video; it's a little embarrassing to watch. That's ok though; it had become very important to me that it be made though. The fact that there was an item such as this available for those of us with various vintage Mazak machine tools that utilize the Mitsubishi Meldas architecture in the Mazatrol control, that would like to be able to implement the efficiency of today's CAM technology; I had to do the video. Looking back on it now, it almost seems "incomplete" having left out a discussion regarding Autodesk's Fusion-360 software. Again, another item that works WONDERFULLY well and at an INCREDIBLE value. As any of us know, having purchased (or even priced) a CAM system in the past few years; it's insane, the amount of money one could spend in order to get JUST ENOUGH for it to cover your needs. The initial buy in is typically painful enough; yet you have to figure in the "annual fees" associated with nearly every CAM producer. My background in design revolved around the use of Solidworks; which I loved. The CAM packages that I've owned, shared a seat of, or test drove extensively are far and wide. The SolidCAM with iMachining module having been my favorite; the thought of "starting over" in the realm of CAD/CAM software was frightening. Fusion-360 has brought the capabilities of the high end CAD systems as well as the most ingenious CAM systems together at a dollar figure that is unbelievable. I do not say this lightly; that was a VERY heavy statement to make, but I stand behind it. In the event you do not already have it; you simply MUST have it. The VALUE of this product CAN NOT be overstated; there's nothing else on the market like it. Most of your "high end" packages struggle to provide what's just kinda "built in" to Fusion-360. My point being; this product has surpassed the "for the money" attachment typically found whenever it is mentioned. It isn't just a bargain; it's an amazing piece of technology, regardless the dollar figure. Mike Ward.

Will this unit work with Mazatrol programs, I just want to save and reload programs from a usb drive

Hi, do you know how to set up ethernet connection with local PC? There is no option to set IP address or anything network related. Thank you

Hi MikeThanks great video, I am looking to post code to a Mazak 4 axis lathe the post processor supplied by Autodesk is for a integrex. Tried to run code from post not sure that I have my work coordinate set the right way which I will have to try again on monday. Do you have post processor for a 4 axis lathe for Autodesk Fusion 360? They do supply a post for the 640M how well does it work We don't have a Mazak mill?

I am very strongly considering buying a mazak lathe with Mazatrol Fusion 640T on it, will this product drip feed my Fusion files to it? For that matter, do you have a Fusion 360 post processor for Mazak lathes?

I HAVE THE SAME MACHINE I DID MY PARAMETERS LIKE YOU ASKED SET IT UP THE ONLY DIFERENCE IN MY DNC UNIT IT DOES NOT HAVE THAT OUTPUT TO CHANGE. MY DNC HAS A SORT FILE IT ONLY MAKES YOU PICK ABC OR DATE TIME YOU HAVE SHAKE HAND AND IT LETS YOU SET IT TO SOFTWARE THAT IS THE ONLY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MINE AND YOUR UNIT I CANT GET IT TO UPLOAD IT

Would this unit DNC to an M2 control?

Hey I am attempting to setup a mazak with m32 controller to work with "DNC" via NCLink, and im just wondering if you could email me a sample ".eia" file that you know is working and i would be able to base the rest of my work off of. Thank you for the help

Yes, very easily! As large as you can fit on a USB drive! Just plug it in, call up the file, put the machine in "TAPE" mode, and hit cycle start................that easy!
