I just got some of the Zman micro. Had to get the 1/30 jig head because mule has been out of my fav 1/32 forever 😭😭. They are rough. Lumpy heads and some open line ties. The micro trds are 🔥. I got them right from the Zman site and they had a new color electric chicken. It’s the 💣.
You are not kidding about the fluke bite. Now is the time to throw em. Like your videos, but I have never thrown a ned rig. Got tons of them from subscription boxes. Plan on giving them a shot on the Fox River this fall.
The Zman Flashback is my all time favorite lure. I’ve tried the 1/16th and and the 1/8th oz versions… use the 1/8th oz. The included trailers are junk, throw them in the trash. Add a 2.5” Zman slim swimz trailer. It is a boot tail… but the action works PERFECTLY with this bladed jig. The only downside, is there is no bait keeper. Add a drop of super glue when you thread on the trailer, and it’s good to go. I also add some pro cure scent. I’ve caught 26 different species of fresh and saltwater fish, including a 6.8lb largemouth and 14 pound blue cat. The main thing to consider… this is a finesse chatterbait. So the hook is very light duty. It’s similar to a standard Ned jig head. The hook can easily be bent out. I exclusively fish this lure with a spinning rod, and if the drag is set correctly, you can give a firm hook set, while not bending out the hook. If a fish sees this lure, no matter how large or small.. it’s gonna eat it. Any time you would throw an in-line spinner, spinner bait, and full size chatterbait, try throwing this instead. It’s a fish catching machine, and you can buy them for under $3!
Chartreuse works here in Ohio, I own SO many coppertreuse and mexican spice soft plastics lol, you should check out the mexican spice mini stroker craws at 6th sense, I use it on a ned rig all the time creek fishing for smallies
I fish that flashback mini quite a bit. Super fun to cover water with while staying finesse and it catches just about anything that swims. Unfortunately the plastics that come with it are trash but I've discovered that the Strike King Baby Z Too pairs perfectly with it and is just as durable as a typical zman soft plastic.
Got into BFS about 8 months ago and decide to only throw micro finesse baits. My go to is a Micro "TeRD" in either cooper/chartreuse or pb&j with chartreuse head. Got my PB spotted bass with a micro ned at a local pond. Ponds and small lakes close to where I live are highly pressured and not too many people are willing to try something different. Great unboxing! Thanks for posting!
Tackle Tactics lures has the jigheads you really want!!! The jigheads they made made for the shad fryz are perfect for the presentation. Those EWG jigheads are my favorites for fishing in brush and trash. Tails on the Stingerz are bitten off fairly easily. I still use em. I had to get a Zman Rattle Snaker. It's the way to go when you use rattles. I also decided to try Yum's Hellgrammites. Not sure how well they'll work but they do hide a rattle really nicely so I'm stoked for this years fishing
I live in North Idaho, by North I mean I'm a couple hours from Canadian border. And I honestly don't throw a lot of sharp teeth but, because I am sure our legs are similar to your legs extremely clear for the most part deep, most of my smallmouth fishing I do in between 10 and 30 ft, so I will put more chartreuse in my arsenal
