AFRC V4 Gyro with surpasshobby servo is smooth and works great too! AFRC V4 with the stock servo is wobbly….My Dasmikro also works great with surpass and now just ordered JX servo to try for the 3rd car with another AFRC V4. I’m currently using 2 AFRC and 1 dasmikro gyro on my cars. Update….Update…that JX 9G servo have smaller servo horn (mount?)….now I need to make my own steering arms 🤦♂️
Thanks for the video. I found that the stock servo was ok with the das mikro v5 in the AE86, but the RX7 which has longer steering tie rods, was more prone to wobble and improved with a surpass 9g servo which seemed stronger but not necessarily faster. The experimenting is half the fun!
I recently purchased the LD1804 MX-5 and also got a gyro. However, I have one question. If I replace the ESC and receiver, how do I continue to use the LED lights that are attached to the body shell? I'm hesitant to buy a new ESC because of this issue.🤔
Need the programmer that goes with that afrc servo to set it up and it is worlds better than the stock once you do it. Out of box it is maybe better but barely and was thinking same when I first installed. But after setting up the software and on laptop and loading the default Sanwa setting that it has available along with a Futaba setting, can’t even compare to stock at that point in controll and feel.
I can't seem to really get my rx7 in a long drift with counter steer. I'm driving on polished hardwood (glossy hardwood). Is it because of that? or shud i increase or decrease my gyro. (btw only mod ive done is the dasmikro gyro.)
The surface you are driving on and your gyro should be perfect for drifting. If you are spinning out in a long drift it could be you need to add more steering angle or just drift at a more shallow angle.

@@APEXRCGARAGE Hello! I received Dasmikro V5 and I cant set up it. Press the button like you in another video, and nothing is happened. Gyro works in reverse directions. What I should do? Also I ordered Onisiki Gyro FUKUROU Oni2805 to compare 2 gyro. But Oni2805 is just blinking rapidly when i connected to model. I have grey Mazda. Can you me some advices?
@@SuaReZZZLVP in that Dasmikro video at 2:53 I show how to set up the gyro direction. I show it better in that video better than I’d ever be able to explain in a comment haha. I’d try just watching that again and see if you forgot a step

Hey mate, been following your LDRC videos, just figured i'd ask here as my googling and tinkering has gotten me nowhere. I have three of these cars at the moment, one RX-7 and two AE86, my RX-7 is fantastic, does what i want it to do, however both the AE's have an issue where they will drift perfectly in one direction but will not drift in the other direction, the wheels will be turned but the car will just go straight and drag front wheels along. Any ideas from you or someone in the comments would be appreciated
I'd check the front wheels and make sure the wheels are not contacting any part of the chassis or the body. Ive found in the 86 the front wheels can hit the suspension bar and the body so you may have to trim
@@APEXRCGARAGE thanks for the response, it doesn't appear to be contacting anything at full lock, but just doesnt want to turn left for one of them and the other doesnt want to turn right. interestingly they both turn perfectly fine when reversing
omg.. didn't believe the servo was stock. Interesting u didn't use a dasmikro... onisiki huh.... i had ordered the gt55 and it has trouble drifting one of the sides... i now have dasmikro and will try this next. also using 1802 chassis. Any recommendations for the receiver ? Dumbo ddf 350 ? Also do u think the receiver made a big difference for controlling the car?
@@Drift_with_Lina I've heard the GT55 is one of the best gyros. But I havent tested it. I think Im done buying gyros for now... I think the ESC makes a bigger difference, like I mentioned in the video the stock ESC didnt seem to like the Onisiki gyro. And of course when you upgrade the ESC you have to change out the receiver. Ive never used the Dumbo products, but I'm sure its better than the tiny stock transmitter!
