Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 TAA VS DLSS Ultra Settings 

My only noticeable issue with DLSS (on a 3440x1440 144hz LG) is when using DLSS, the instrument gauges and especially glass hardware on the cockpit look blurry or fuzzy. TAA keeps them very tact sharp.

My Display Screesn loose quality and looks blurry with DLSS, you have the same issue? Or what can I do? tnk you !! :)

As DLSS is a "performance improvement" and not a "visuals improvement", everybody has to decide for himself if the slightly worse quality of the graphics is acceptable for himself to gain more fps. Don't forget: Normally you have one screen, one resolution and one setting. You don't have two sims and two displays to compare each pixel. If you like what you see and if you like the performance, it doesn't matter if you use DLSS or not. Especially in the flightsim where you don't need 100+ fps, I would take the better graphics when my fps are suiting me. I don't need 60-90fps when I have 40-70fps without DLSS.

Is it just me or are the adverts stsrting to take the piss? Too many, too long....

Its very hard to have an opinion on the quality or lack of. The idea of these Temporal upscalers would be motion in the scenes. In FlightSim it would be good to compare in flight, from the cockpit.

This game has the worse implementation of DLSS I have used so far. Numbers ghosting on the displays and the blurry cockpit panels makes it unusable.3440x1440 DLSS Quality. I have significantly less performance with TAA but the quality is vastly superior ATM.

Just tried it with DLSS. Quite happy with the improvement of frame rates. Smoother flight. Good content.

A better comparison might be DLAA and TAA. TAA also gives the tremendous advantage of using the Render Scale. So gives me the ability to run my 4k TV (3840x2160) at a lower resolution 2560x1440 then upscale back to the native resolution. Going this route I can max almost all the graphics options and still get 11ms in both the CPU Main thread and the GPU thread.

I don’t know how you get this visual effect. I have a high quality pc with a GPU NVDIA 3090 24G I9 processor 12th gen and when I activated the DLSS everything started to show blurry, can you share the formula on how I can get mine to look like yours, I would truly appreciate it.

In some instances I think taa looks better. But with our beloved flight sim being such a finicky friend, those extra fps are really important to most. Helps keep us out of those extreme drops in fps that cause stuttering etc. I dont personally chase fps, but I dont want any stuttering or freeze ups either.

Didn't notice any difference.

My issue with TAA is the screens appear “to” sharp, they shimmer with jagged lines. It’s just the display screens in the cockpit though, everything else is amazing. I run 4080, 13th gen cpu and a 1440 monitor with the resolutions all set to the native res. Any ideas on anyway to improve this?

ye idk why but appartly this game hates my gpu i got a rtx 2060 got the newest driver installed everything and no dlss i reinstalled my drivers about 5 to 6 times now trying older versions and im still getting the same old lovely thing where theres no dlss

New driver update degraded the performance, what a mess of a game It Is. Same Nvidia

Wait, does DLSS enable ray tracing? The second comparison has light on the ground as just smeared orange for TAA, and a starburst with puddle reflection for the DLSS
