Ever since the release of MSFS, I was excited for the 707, and 727. The FSS 727 is more than I could ever hope for, with the engineer/pilot monitoring duties able to be automated via phone, and the flight characteristics being fantastic. The 707 on the other hand, couldn't be worse. It has a 90% inop cockpit, the flight characteristics are subpar, and the textures leave a lot to be desired. I get that the 727 is a more expensive addon, but if microsoft partnered with AH to put this out and put their name to it, then it should at the VERY LEAST be on par with the default asobo aircraft, which it isn't as of yet
I agree! When I heard the 707 was delayed and delayed and delayed some more, I thought we'd at least get something similar to the 727. The Hans Hartman's ATR original release was far better than this from Aeroplane Heaven. I've now parked the 707 in the hangar until there's an update, which probably won't happen until 2025.
@@SizzlingPopcorn sadly I fear you're right. If it took this long to get a finished product in such a rough state, I dread thinking of how long a functional version will take.
Yeah, I wonder about it too! They had a preview video over a year ago and it’s been in production almost 4 years…but it’s freeware, which can take a lot longer and has a higher risk of being cancelled. At this point, they should focus on MSFS 2024.
The 707 is ok to mess around in and yes there is a lot to do to get it up to standard..... least of which is a lack of textures and an aircraft that old should reflect the older airlines no longer with us for the sake of history.
