Thank you Andy, this refresher and your Intune playlist will serve me well, company is switching to Entra ID from a 3rd party MFA solution. Cheers, great content as always!
I wish! Microsoft have recently severely cut back on the number of tenants that can be given out for either free use or training purposes. This has become a real pain as it’s difficult to learn a product if you cannot play with a product. One thing you can do is search for a Microsoft 365 E5 trial. That will give you 30 days in which to try the product. I know that many of the Microsoft lab providers are considering selling subscriptions but as of yet there’s been nothing formalised. I understand that this is probably not the answer you were hoping for. But good luck anyway 👍
I have a scenario we have users already Azure joined but we upgraded to premium to be able to use intune - How do I get them registered in intune without having to remove and re add back?
Hey Andy! Another great video!! Thank you! I wanted to pick your brain about how should I go about Blocking users from being able to download and install games/gaming applications on their Windows devices.? How do I block this in Intune?
Honestly, I can’t remember which are specific policy blocks this but I know that you can restrict the App Store to only allowing downloads of specific apps. The best place to look is learn.microsoft.com or the Microsoft tech community. Thanks anyway and good luck 😊
As I say any experience is good experience. GWS is different from M365 as it's very web focussed and does not have the richness of 365. But that's just my opinion :--)
Suggest signing up to the Microsoft Windows deployment blog. At most of this content is also on learn.microsoft.com you could also visit the Microsoft tech community which has a dedicated deployment branch. I hope this helps.
Unenrolled them check your profile settings and then re-enroll making sure that your users are fully licensed for both Microsoft 365 and in tune. You must also ensure that these are professional or enterprise editions of Windows 10 or 11 further questions can be submitted to the Microsoft tech support forum or the Microsoft tech community. Good luck.
would you recommend i create an admin group then assign intune licence and privileged roles to that group e.g intune admin, user admin, license admin - rather than assign license indiviudally in 365 admin?
I have a bunch of machines with Premium licensing. And those seem to be Registered devices, showing in InTune as managed by showing as "Personal" devices. Does this mean I can still do some parts of intune? And was that just from connecting the email to the first part and not saying Entra ID joined?
Personally, I would uninstall them check your configuration policies and make sure you’ve not categorise them incorrectly. And then rejoin. Typically it’s all to do with configuration files and settings, get these wrong and it just falls apart. Check out the documentation on learn.microsoft.com. Good luck 👍
@@AndyMaloneMVP This was more just a blank Tenant with Premium licenses. So whatever was default. Just wasn't sure what level of control I got, obviously more with Joined, figured when you get those contractors who connect as registered, you should be able to install the business apps required for that tenant without touching the rest of the machine?
I have enrolled new wind devices and applied compliance/config policies, they show up compliant but since few days they still don’t take the policies yet, despite I did sync, restart, remove and adding them back they don’t get the policies, any help would be appreciated
