Need to learn Microsoft OneNote? We've got you covered! This tutorial will teach you everything you need to know about OneNote in less than 30 minutes.
Why do we love OneNote? There's a list of reasons. It's simple to use, FREE, and works on basically everything whether you're on a Mac, Windows PC, Android phone/tablet, iPhone/iPad, etc. So while you may notice some slight graphical changes depending on what device you're using OneNote on, basically everything should be the same.
We'll show you in this tutorial how to create notebooks and organize your information into section groups, sections, pages, and sub pages. We'll also go over using the OneNote Web Clipper to allow you to pull data from web pages.

I love OneNote. Finally my recipes are being organized. So convenient. I have piles and piles of recipes I've found on the Internet, but can never find the one I need. Now with OneNote its so easy to clip them from the Internet using the WebClipper. I've made sections for Breakfast, Lunch, etc. It syncs from Mac to iPad quickly. Watch the tutorial and start to get organized. Thank you David! I never would have known about this without your lessons.

This is going to be a life saver for me in not only my next college term but also my whole life! I love physical notebooks but I have so many! I hate to waste paper by printing out and clipping websites, so this is perfect! Love this app and LOVE this tutorial!

Thanks for the class - I've been using OneNote for a couple years but didn't know about dictation - not in OneNote and not on the Mac! So I appreciate learning something new. Also will try some of the fun tools like drawing and inserting a picture. I'm a writer and I use OneNote for keeping track of webarticles and notes from classes about Writing. They're arranged in pages by category - Beginnings, Endings, Characters, Plot, Emotion, Fight Scenes - you get the idea. :)

I started using Evernote several years ago but have since moved to OneNote for work and personal. I now note take digitally instead of paper-based. OneNote is superior in my view. Use it on PC, Surface Pro 4 and iPhone. Great tutorial thanks David.

Hi David, I have been using OneNote for nearly 4 years now. Ironically, being a dedicated Apple user, I started using it when I bought the first 12.9" iPad Pro. I am an IT Consultant and wanted to go digital in the workplace. OneNote helped me do that. I evaluated Evernote, Goodnotes Apple Notes and a few others but OneNote won mostly because of the collaboration elements, syncing and ease of use with the iPad. Its funny because I only use the Application on the desktop when I am reviewing notes taken and inserting files and data for meetings often within the Microsoft Windows world. The cross-platform MacOs, OS and Windows compatibility makes it a truly universal app. It has changed my life. I use it in my private life as well and I even use for a recipe book as well!! I taught myself how to use it and use the "Experimental Features" which gives some extra functionality as well. As most of my notes are taken using the Apple Pencil, this tutorial was not as useful as the focus was on desktop use. It would be good for your viewers if you showed them how to use it on the iPad or Surface. OneNote is just brilliant on the iPadPro. I am grateful for this tutorial, though as I have learned a few new things which I will put to good use. The only thing missing from this app is Handwriting to Text conversion. Microsoft - you must make this happen!!! Great video, David!

Thank you David, I appreciate One Note more every day. the one note clipper, talk text dictation and short cut to file and sync helped me today. I am going to watch more. i have been forwarding emails , but can only get it to forward to one of my notebooks. i am somewhat of a tech-schlep so it takes me longer than the average bear.

Thank you for this overview on One Note. I used to be a big Evernote fan and did a lot of work within that platform. Unfortunately, a couple of months ago I got a message or pushback from Evernote. Too bad, I really liked Evernote. Long story short, I am a WIN10-PC and Android 9 -Smartphone user, self learned OneNote and have not looked back. Hi David, Thanks for putting that video together. I've been watching this for the x. time again since using OneNote in a full MSFT context s totally easy and mostly self-explaining. But using it on a Mac is slightly, tricky different. And I really like this tool, better than Evernote - talking in data security. So thanks for reminding me to the things I forgot meanwhile. Im new to one note. Just subscribed to office 365 and was going to just ignore one note until I reviewed this informative vid. Now I can see uses for this app and will be better able to make use of it. Before this vid I thought onenote was a duplication of word but I see its very different. Thanks for the info.

Love using both Evernote and OneNote for different requirements. Tagging and search works great in Evernote. In conferences or organisation of content OneNote is better experience.

I started looking at OneNote when Evernote changed their pricing structure, and over time have found I use it more. I really love it's organisation over Evernote. I'd love a tutorial on how to export data (such as scanned text in jpg format) back out of OneNote. Thanks for this tutorial. I learned a few things like how subpages work.
