I'm not using Windows anymore as my OS of choice for my PC but, I think Microsoft is still a very mature tech company and they do still make products that are quite impactful. Satya Nadella really brought Microsoft to a good standing again.
I hope it means that Microsoft will treat ARM more seriously from now on and they will release Windows 12 for ARM and x86 alongside each other. They just need to stop thinking of ARM as an afterthought and slowly move to it being the main version of the OS
I doubt they'll release another OS soon, considering the rapid advancement of AI. Experts predict AGI could emerge in the next 2-10 years, making OS development for humans less relevant. It seems more logical to focus on tools like Copilot, which is already quite powerful for both human and AGI tasks; they might just enhance Copilot further before AGI's arrival.
@@joelfaceARM is the company that licenses the architecture that Qualcomm, Apple, Samsung, and soon AMD, Nvidia and many others will use in mobile chips development. At the moment AMD and Intel used X86 architecture. But ARM based chips gained momentum since Apple stopped using Intel and switched to M1. So now if Microsoft makes Windows run on ARM architecture other (Dell, Lenovo, etc) will follow. A new ARMs race if you will. Pin intended 😄
@@fibulawars it’s hard to believe only 55% but maybe GitHub is wrong? If it takes you one hour to code something, copilot can do it in one minute which seems plausible to me. Am I wrong?
Good summary video but there was no mention of the combination of mixed reality with AI and copilots. They had a really good promo video which is amazing.
Im curious about what they meant about copilot app? Is it gonna replace the bing app? And edge app? Also curious to see what this website is like right now it saids it not supported lol
It allows you to chat with AI everywhere. If you're an enterprise user, you can also directly ask questions about your emails, meetings, documents etc, along with web searches.
Yes. It means that you can live in the woods where a 3 bedroom house is £100k but still be fully "in office" if that is the job requirement, instead of having to be in London or commute for 2 hours.
The big takeaway is that Intel and AMD days as x86 makers are numbered. Custom ARM chips are all the rage now. Intel with its own FABs can become the maker of ARM based chips if they can finally get past 10nm process 😂. AMD well they just gonna go after the gamer community until ARM PCs take over which will be sooner than later. No one wants 300+ watt CPUS. 😂.
