Microsoft Windows 12 - Release Date, Concept, Trailer & more.. Although Windows 12 release date has not yet been officially announced by Microsoft, we were recently given a sneak peek at a prototype. During CEO Satya Nadella's keynote at Microsoft Ignite, a preview of Windows 12 concept was accidentally shown. Interesting new features in the concept include a floating taskbar and the relocation of various system icons to the top of the screen. These include the Wi-Fi and battery indicators, as well as a weather widget. This would bring Windows closer in functionality to macOS and certain Linux distributions.
Since the release is still at least a year away, this is most likely an early stage of development. Even if it undergoes major revisions or is scrapped entirely before Windows 12 is released, the preview builds give us a lot to think about. If this concept is any indication, Windows 12 will shake things up even more than Windows 11, which introduced major changes to the taskbar after years of stagnation. The price of windows 12 is not yet decided byt the microsoft.

I expect the following: 1. To not be forced to upgrade my hardware! I like my overclocked Intel i5 gen 2 CPU 2. I don't need an o365 account to setup my computer I can use a local account which doesn't sync with any email or phone number. It might be Microsoft's OS but I care about my computer and my privacy. 3. Stop forcing me to reboot my computer to then see a prompt asking me to upgrade to a new windows OS. 4. Stop trying to be artists making a futurist vibrant colour desktop display and give us the standard windows xp, 7 or 10 start bar. It just works and everyone's familiar with it. we hate mac and don't want a windows os to remind us why we hate mac so much.

I fully Agree I wish they would rather stick to what really worked like xp and windows 7 that was discontinued for what reason ? Oh that's right they cant spy on us so much or just decide what file they delete on our pc for what reason ?They are literally selling adds and pushing it down on our thoughts on our own hardware and software that we had to pay good money for and own .Why buy this @ all ? Its just going to be discontinued again ! Hardware in the trash again ! And start all over Again !

This is going to effect many computers globally who still run on Windows 10 unless you have a lot of money good luck with continuing to support Microsoft because Steam is threatening users to have a newer version of Windows which will lead older computers left in the dust. I wish Microsoft would stop these mandates but another entity is forcing them to use TPM 2.0 and newer CPU harsh protocols. I remember when you can just slap a newer version of Windows just like that on a computer these policies that are in place are really part of the problem and making it unfair for people still using older computers to upgrade to a newer version of Windows I know who they are too and they're an asshole.

I wish to see new feature in windows 12 where I can sort images inside folder up to the image content where repeated files (even if they do not have same name) will be arranged next to each other. (may be all file types will be treated the same)

I'm staying put on Windows 10 I can't upgrade without having to bypass these policies are a joke and unnecessary something sinister is going on at Microsoft and I'm about to investigate I will personally demand Microsoft give me a free computer if they want me to upgrade I will tell them to pay for replacing my computer.

Linux is a future as a desktop os? driven by community, unsuported, dosent support pro. software, if you consider going on web, and watching movies with a desktop os then you maybe right. But i dont want a "os" which every little crashes due to drivers conflicts, which are, you guess made by community,..all in all it is a wannabe "os" the real linux is just a codeline, and it should stay that way, it was never meant to be a dekstop os by design...sure you can use it, and suffer each day, one moment all works..suddenly ...hey that crashed, freezed..ok restart..wow it wont restart..hows that possible?it is 2023!! well if that what a future os is going to be than i could use just android phone instead of desktop..

@@matijacizmar9372 you said like i was linux 20 years ago. Have you tried the latest greatest linux out there. Linux improves every year, and will catch windows soon. While windows struggling to differentiate in every release. Well sometimes, customer doesnt need new feature that only nice to have, and pay for it. It is not like in the 90 era, when windows dominates with almost everything. Now, every os can do what windows can, the reverse also possible. The possible route for M$ is, make windows as a service, so M$ can suck your money without struggle to fight their own previous windows. The statement "sure you can use it, and suffer each day" is too naive. Heck i typing this message on linux, and run just fine and fast on my little tiny PC. This machine struggle with bloated heavy windows 11 that is do nothing besides auto updates and suck the resources horribly. If you said, you could just use android, sure you can do it now on pc, who knows 10 - 20 years later every PC will be android.

@@muharief3885 Ok i am not saying that linux is bad..nowdays they are pretty modern, but requires a set of knowledge to keep it running,,my brother is using linux, but he is an expert and he need it for his work too, so i understand that..but i, as a regular user just want things to work out of the box..for now the cheapest option is windows 11, macs are just too expensive, and linux requires knowledge, well if things goes that way as you said, ill use what is best at the certain moment..i dont cheer for any os in particular just use what is best for my needs..but somehow i think microsoft will always be the one supported and linux will be a secondary os if you like to try something different..and macs will always be very pricey. so far thats the case, but who knows maybe something changes in the future..as i see they all start to look similar to each other..

So nothing official from Microsoft, just rumours that Windows will return back to 3 year releases. Good, I won't waste my time or plan a new PC build for windows 12 until Microsoft reports something. Windows 11 could last longer then windows 10, I won't start waiting. Thanks.

Hello. I don't like microsoft coming out with windows 12 so fast. Windows 11 was disliked by many especially because of the hardware compatibility. Now many have managed to install Windows 11. Many have just start learned Windows 11. People have also got all the hardware working and installed all the software they want. When windows 12 comes out, there are guaranteed to be some compatibility problems with hardware and software people like to use! We don't need new windows so quickly. Neither technically nor in terms of safety. Many people also like to update their computer more than they use it!! What we need instead is classic start menu from windows 7 and a properly transparent taskbar where we can adjust how transparent we want it to be. And rounded corners on the Taskbar. All this so we don't have to use (roundedTB) (translucentTB) (open shell menu) More opportunity to customize how windows work! Windows 11 is less pretty straight out of the box!! we don't need a new windows 12. microsoft is not kind to users

Just bring back windows 7 support and lets see who ends up using what - yuck for the new win ui - remember you pushed this new crap on us keep telling yourself everyone likes the new windows versions because its not true - Not everyone feels like throwing away their hardware like you are suggesting - Then why buy this windows @ all if its just something that will die again ? Like Win Xp Win7 Win8.1 Xbox 360 xbox one ....... All those in the dust bin because ? you felt like making money ??? keep your trash no thanks ! So its actually a blast in the trash !
