gate 2019 preparation. csir net chemistry december 2018 preparation. this lecture is about term symbol and microstate from coordination chemistry. video by csir net gate chemistry
Excellent sir/mam. I searched answer for this particular question for hardly 4 days. Finally I got it. I regularly watching your videos. Good job. Thanks mam/sir.
Mam directly we can apply the formula..... Then also we got same answer... (according to formula( 2s+1)(2L+1)for d =(2(0)+1)(2*2+1) =5 For p=(2(0)+1)(2*1+1) =3 So 5*3=15
@@CSIRNETGATECHEMISTRY if we do by taking p1 and d1, so in p1 the microstate are 6 and in d1 the microstate are 10...so by multiplying 6*10 the answer will 60...plz tell me is it correct?
If you still did not understood, then think that way that 60 microstates are total, but out of 60 only 15 are from zero spin or one multiplicity while other 45 are from spin =1 that is multiplicity =3.
