It's still hard for the fiat mind to wrap their brain around bitcoin. He might have said it's possible to trade btc for a building, equipment, or supplies that we needed at the time and didn't have another way to pay for it. But we obviously wouldn't exchange it for fiat currency.
Bitcoin doesn't need any action to boost the price. It is a unique coin as well as the mother ship of cryptocurrency which is considered as digital gold, and is used as an asset store for big investors. So as long as the digital world still exists, bitcoin will continue to be king.
He's sick of answering the same kindergarden questions about an asset that has a marketcap of 1.4 trillion. These clowns need to educate themselves about this.
Especially with the ETFS the bear run might not even be a long one like we are used to that one year cooling off phase where us long haulers buy tons of it
I'm admittedly bummed that I didn't go with my gut instinct & buy bitcoin few months back when it was 20k - 25k range. is it too late to get in and make profits? i have set aside $150k to get fully invested this year
It's not, in my opinion. Bitcoin becomes the new bottom once it surpasses its all-time high. Any purchase under $69k is wise. Working with a fiduciary advisor is still advised rather than depending just on conjecture.
The only issue you might have is the fear of missing out, just like everyone else. A good number of people discredit the effectiveness of financial advisors in exploring new markets, but over the past 10years I’ve had a financial advisor consistently restructure and diversify my portfolio/expenses and I’ve made over $400K in gains… might not be a lot but i'm financially secure.

thanks for sharing your elite knowledge. Sometimes, they use these types of reporters to make these networks more accessible to the masses, the "dumb money" people that would ask questions like she does

I get her point. I would have said that those who own apt buildings get rents. They don’t just own the buildings for the sake of owning it. Also, for those who say they will never sell btc, I understand that people think the investment will make them rich, but what’s the point of being rich on paper and never selling if you can’t enjoy the perks of money. It’s like Scrooge whose entire focus is accumulating wealth, never spending it, and becoming miserly. To what end? Pardon the cliche, but you can’t take it with you.
Imagine being a $ millionaire in real life, waiting to buy bitcoin, then finally deciding to buy some and finding out that you can't afford one whole bitcoin. That will happen to A LOT of millionaires. There are more millionaires in the world than there ever will be whole bitcoins.
She got frustrated and raised her voice because she can’t comprehend his perspective. He said it perfectly, “why sell the winner to buy the loser”. Some people can’t escape the fist mindset.
He should have a goal in mind what to do with at least SOME of the money. Every company has a mission. MicroStrategy is odd in the sense that they're not seeking to grow their software business by investing in that....yet? I think they still need to give body and shape to their concept of "bitcoin development company". Money is ultimately nothing if never spent.

The question she tried to ask was what MSTR eventually is going to do with all that sound money. Pity that she allowed him to limit the response to mere value preservation. He could have about MSTR as a bitcoin dev company: what are they going to develop?
This lady has no idea that she's completely out of her depth here. Michael Saylor is a genius and to speak over him emotionally like this as an interviewer is just embarrassing. Totally unprofessional.
'Defending bitcoin' um, it doesn't need any defence. Either get in and be ready for the future, or don't, and see your fiat holdings dwindle away with inflation.
My best guess is about 1M by 2030, maybe sooner than this. You have increased governmental interest, ETFs, retail whales, larger companies, and people losing their trust in Fiat currency. @@littlebitofeverything2381
I think she raised lots good questions. Not everyone watching the interview is crypto savvy, and she did a great job speaking out for those who are new and skeptical to this area.
The reporter is constantly thinking small and like a pleb. That is why what Saylor is saying does not compute with her logic. She thinks if you own a asset, you own it because you want to sell it in the future - the only reason for owning an asset. 🙂
She knows better.. so you want me to cash out my bitcoin to put in fiat that is being mass printed in thin air which becomes worth less and less about 15-20% each year? Cmon.
Billionaires and regular people do not view or treat money and assets the same, as you can see here on display with Saylor and the interviewer. She doesn't view BTC or money through the same lens as Saylor and frankly, he's well beyond her intellectual station to even have this discussion. They need to get someone who actually understands and speaks to Saylor on an equal level.
One of the best interviews is from InvestAnswers' James. The best ever was from Tucker Carlson, simply because Saylor had all the time of the world to make his case in crystal clarity. Then there's the Saylor series from Robert Breedlove.

Michael Saylor said it before (in another interview) that while there is no point in selling the winner and buy the losers, there are things in life that are worth spending bitcoin on. His example were for a good education, or to pay for daughter’s wedding. He is a genius!
I remember when I just got into crypto back in 2019 but later in 2020 I ended up selling it because I was dumb and I didn't understand it. I studied and learned and now I know how it works. Got back into crypto early in 2023 with 10k and I’m up with 128k in a short period of time .This comment serves as motivation for all those who have invested and continue to invest in cryptocurrencies with so many losses, do not give up, cryptocurrencies can change your life. Do your best to connect with the right people and you will surely see changes.
I know people in SF who have owned apartment buildings in their family for over 100 years, she's wrong on this one you simply would never sell, that's unconscionable
