I guess that's a midi launchpad. Coupled with a software like ableton you can set whatever sound you want per knob.

Thats the Launchpad X from Novation. I set it up to the MPC One to contro, the ASM Hydrasynth. The great thing about is. the Hydrasynth can Microtuning. I created the tuningfile with Scale Workshop and load it up in the Hydrasynth. For making music, I am completly DAWless

Yes definitly. I will definitly make some microtonal melodies. For techno music can be microtonality very interesting
