Mid-2020 Pedalboard Update.. A Lot Has Changed.

Thanks for that! I’m still working out the EQ of everything. Overall I really enjoy the sounds I’m able to get from this board but I’m definitely not done tweaking everything! For instance, the golden face is great... but it’s REALLY dark when the gain is turned up. (Don’t remember the Klon doing that 🤔) I really appreciate the feedback!

Hey man, I went through and adjusted the EQ a bit, added more mids and upped the overall high-end tone and i'm really happy with where its at. Thanks for pointing that out! Sometimes its easy to get wrapped up in your own environment so its good to get an outside perspective

Lol I don’t necessarily prefer one over the other: Best “actual” amp tone and feel: Iridium Best bang for your buck: Simplifier Most flexibility/versatility: Stomp It really comes down to your workflow and pedalboard setup, man! Hey man! Sorry I’m just getting back to you, I was legit playing back to back to back the last couple days! Lol I’ll say this; the Specular Tempus is so much more versatile than the Rev as far as what it can do (I mean shoot, it can also be a delay lol) but in order to pull out the full potential of that versatility, you’d really need an external switcher (aux or midi) For light to HUGE ambient stuff, I can confidently say that the Rev is one of the best and easiest reverbs I’ve ever used. Even without a preDelay knob it still doesn’t get in the way of your playing. But don’t expect to find a short, natural “room” sounding verb here. You can do it by turning the mix and verb almost ALL the way down, but the algorithms are just long by nature. In short, it depends on your reverb needs. Either way, I highly suggest you get your hands on a Jet Rev and give it a try. It’s beautiful! If I had to choose one, I’d go Jet Rev, if that means anything to you. ✊🏼

@@drewroze4168 Thanks, I think I'm going to pick one up. I will have it on my mini board with the hx stomp so I can get more "normal" verbs out of the helix. I just haven't been impressed with the more ambient verbs on the Stomp. I am a bit confused on the preset switching on the jet though. Would it be possible to just have it set up to toggle from a low mix/decay setting to a high one and back?
