Looks awesome! Keep talking and using subtitles--that way one can watch it on mute. Personally, I listen with subtitles on in case I have trouble with your accent. And keep in the shots of your son!
@@flipitnation Looks like the little man is setting up for a podcast 😅 Love seeing MCM furniture refinished instead of upcycled* in some garish, 'antiqued' flat grey. Really lovely job on this unit. * Time and place where suited.
There are a few other furniture flippers that I follow. One of them just paints everything beige and at the reveal screams ‘lLOOK WHAT I DID’. There is another where he just spouts inspirational quotes the whole time. I enjoy you and your way of working.
I prefer listening to the voice-over and explanation, which is more useful than just showing what you do. It's good to see a more relaxed style of editing as well vs. the dynamic one. For me, personally, it fits better with the furniture videos, I watch mostly when relaxing and winding down.
So happy to see that you brought it back to what it must have looked like originally! Absolutely gorgeous! You don’t talk to much, and I love to hear your accent. Your baby it beautiful too!
Keep doing what you're doing. Thats why I subbed in the first place. For those who don't like the talking, mute it..... win win 👍 Keep up the great work.
Great restoration! And definitely keep narrating 🤩 I enjoy when you explain what you're doing and why you're doing it. Videos with only music put me to sleep, and those with captions get somewhat distracting. I feel like talking through your process keeps people more engaged.
Keep doing what you're doing! There's a small contingent of people on RU-vid who want to turn every video into ASMR for their pleasure. Those comments crop up everywhere.
1. Love the tip for reusing gloves. 2. Yes, please keep talking. I need to understand what you’re doing and why you do it. And I very much enjoy your accent!
Keep doing what you're doing, love your videos as they are! This piece turned out gorgeous! But the star of the show was your amazing precious son! He is so cute! 🥰❤
Your kiwi accent is nice to listen to there's always the mute button for those who disagree ,great job on the stag dresser I had a set and chalk painted them disaster !!, keep up the good work . ( Greetings from Aberdeen Scotland )
Your instructions are excellent and your voice is very nice. I watch these type of videos to learn something not just to view something. Keep up the good work.
I enjoy watching your videos in Florida, US. I think the amount of talking you do is fine. I wouldn’t change a thing. I watch to learn as well as to be entertained. Not all information can be adequately conveyed without words.
Keep on chatting away fella, it's good to hear tips and tricks as you go through each piece. If folk want silence, there are thousands of asmr videos out there for them to watch.
What I’m most impressed by is that you stripped the piece wearing a white cable knit jumper. The confidence and also execution of not getting it all over yourself. I always get finish one somewhere
First, cute baby! Second, I love what you did with the dresser. The contrasting colors give it a modern touch while still maintaining the authenticity of the piece. Please keep talking. I watch these videos to learn different ways of doing things. There's always different approaches and learning the reasoning behind it expands my knowledge. I'll subscribe.
At first I didn't like the color of the dark stain but the finished piece is gorgeous. I was shocked. It still has the appeal of the 60's warmth. I like it!! Also, I love a mixture of ASMR and explanation. Like do one ASMR, do the next one talking. Or, just combine the two when extra explanation is required. I just love them both. Sometimes just the woodworking sounds are soothing after a long day.
Great result! I think the highlighting is a huge improvement over the original finish. I prefer hearing your thought processes during the videos, so I'd say keep on going just as you are.
I enjoy hearing your accent (I'm from the US)! Please keep talking! You are so talented with your furniture refinishing and I really look forward to your videos!
Sometimes when a piece is damaged, restoration just isn’t possible. If you can bring it back to being a piece that someone will enjoy having in their home, it’s absolutely a win. You win! 🏅 And, I love hearing you talk us through your choices as you go.
Great result! Can't believe how well those legs came up as well. It has given me some ideas to fix the perishing chrome on my Breuer chairs. Also, keep talking, it seems natural to me.
I like hearing you explain what your doing. I’m here to learn, it’s not just entertainment for me. 😀 I love the normal family life sounds in the background too. 😀 And what a cute Editor ye have at the end there! 😍
18:52 gorgeous & your son is gorgeous too. Keep on talking during your videos with captions! Anyone who is hard of hearing or hearing impaired need it. Also, there are those who have varying degrees of sight impairment & they NEED to hear what you’re doing too! ❤
Great job, well done, it looks brand new. As for the speaking I personally think that you keep on doing it in your videos. A lot of us like to hear what you use, how it’s applied etc. For those that don’t like for you to speak they can turn down the volume. Most of us like how you teach us what you are doing. Congradulations
I enjoy the sounds of the work being done, but I also enjoy narrating! It's nice to hear the ideas and thoughts on methods and decisions made on a piece! Great job 😊
This came out really great! I like the two-tone look, this dresser is ready for her next glam adventure! Keep on doing what you're doing with your channel; I like a variety of approaches when it comes to restoration videos, and yours are well shot and edited; good techniques demonstrated; and I love the bubba cameos🥰 There are other channels that are strictly no talking so those negative nellies can watch those when ever they feel like it. You are bringing your own take on things and if they don't like it they can lump it! P.S. I thought you'd be supporting a fellow Kiwi by using Coopers Stripper - it works a treat!
Definitely keep doing it the way you've been doing. The voice-over is fine as it is. And the stuff with the tot is cute, keep doing what you're doing with that, too. :D
